సృష్టిలోని ప్రతి జీవికీ శ్రమతోనే ఆనందం లభిస్తుంది. దాంతోనే జీవితంలో ఏదైనా సాధించగలం. శ్రమ అంటే కేవలం శారీరక కష్టం కాదు. ఒక తపస్సు, ఒక యజ్ఞం, ముక్తికి మార్గం.
శ్రమకు నిర్వచనం అనవచ్చు భగీరథుణ్ని. సగర పుత్రుల మోక్షం కోసం గంగను భూమికి తేవాలని సంకల్పించాడు. వేల సంవత్సరాలు తపస్సు చేసి బ్రహ్మను మెప్పించాడు. గంగ ప్రవాహ వేగాన్ని భరించేందుకు శివుడి కోసం మళ్లీ తపస్సు చేశాడు. అతడి పట్టుదలకు మెచ్చిన శివుడు గంగను జటాజూటంలో బంధించి నెమ్మదిగా విడిచాడు. అందుకే అనుకున్నది సాధించేవరకు వదలకుండా చేసే కృషిని ‘భగీరథ ప్రయత్నం’ అంటారు. పరమశివుణ్ని పతిగా పొందడానికి పార్వతీదేవి దీర్ఘకాలం తీవ్రంగా తపస్సు చేసింది. అంతఃపురంలో రాజభోగాలు వదిలి కొండలమీద ఎండకు ఎండుతూ, వానకు తడుస్తూ, ఆకులు కూడా తినక ‘అపర్ణ’ అయ్యింది. ఆ నిరంతర దీక్షతోనే శివుడి హృదయాన్ని గెలిచింది. అర్ధనారీశ్వరి అయ్యింది. ప్రేమ కూడా శ్రమతోనే పరిపూర్ణమవుతుందని పార్వతి నిరూపించింది. రాముడి విజయం వెనుక అసంఖ్యాక వానరుల శ్రమ ఉంది. లక్ష్మణుడు మూర్ఛపోతే, హనుమంతుడు సంజీవని మూలిక కోసం మొత్తం పర్వతాన్నే పెకిలించి తెచ్చాడు. శ్రమలో తెలివితేటలు, సమయస్ఫూర్తి కూడా ఉండాలని హనుమ చాటిచెప్పాడు. కృష్ణుడు భగవద్గీతలో ‘కర్మణ్యేవాధికారస్తే’ అన్నాడు. పని మీద దృష్టి పెట్టి, ఫలితం నాకు వదిలేయమన్నాడు.
శ్రమ వల్ల ఆత్మగౌరవం పెరుగుతుంది. ‘ఇది నా కష్టార్జితం’ అని చెప్పుకోవడంలో ఉన్న తృప్తికి మరేదీ సాటిరాదు. సన్మార్గంలో కష్టపడే మనిషికి చెడు ఆలోచనలు, ఈర్ష్య, ద్వేషం, దిగులు ఉండవు. శ్రమించే శరీరం ఎప్పుడూ దృఢంగా ఉంటుంది. శ్రమే మనిషికి ఉత్తమమైన వ్యాయామం. సోమరులకు అదృష్టం ఎప్పుడూ కలగదు. ఎందుకంటే కష్టపడేవాడి చెమట చుక్కలోనే అదృష్టం దాగి ఉంటుంది. శ్రమతో, ఒక్కొక్క మెట్టు ఎక్కి సాధించిన విజయం అనిర్వచనీయమైన ఆనందాన్ని అందిస్తుంది. చేసే పనిని నిజాయతీగా భక్తిగా చేస్తే, ఆ పనే పూజ అవుతుంది. శ్రమలోనే దేవుడు కనిపిస్తాడు.
బద్ధకంగా చేస్తే శ్రమ బరువవుతుంది. ఇష్టంగా చేస్తే అదే హాయి గొలుపుతుంది. శ్రమ ఒంటరితనాన్ని పోగొడుతుంది. అనవసర ఆలోచనలను దరికి రానీయదు. శిల శిల్పం కావాలంటే ఉలి దెబ్బలు తినాలి. మనిషి మహనీయుడు కావాలంటే శ్రమించాలి. మన పురాణాలు ఇచ్చే సందేశం ఇదే. మన కలలను నిజం చేసేది శ్రమించే శరీరంపై మెరిసే స్వేద బిందువులే. ‘కృషితో నాస్తి దుర్భిక్షమ్‌’ అన్నారు కదా పెద్దలు! కష్టపడితే సాధించలేనిది ఏదీ లేదు. పని చేసినపుడు కలిగే తృప్తి, ఆత్మవిశ్వాసం మనిషిని శక్తిమంతుణ్ని చేస్తాయి. ప్రతి ఒక్కరి శారీరక శ్రమ దేశ ఆర్థిక ప్రగతికి, సమాజ అభివృద్ధికి ఉపయోగపడుతుంది. శ్రమించిన వాడికి సాధ్యం కానిది ఏదీ లేదు. శ్రమే దైవం, శ్రమతో వచ్చేదే శాశ్వతం.

- తస్మై శ్రీ తరువే నమః చెట్టులో పుట్టలో దైవత్వాన్ని దర్శించుకునే తత్వం భారతీయులది. వృక్ష మూలం బ్రహ్మకు, మధ్య భాగం విష్ణువుకు, కొన భాగం సదాశివుడికి ఆలయాలని ‘మూలతో బ్రహ్మరూపాయ మధ్యతో విష్ణురూపిణే అగ్రతశ్శివరూపాయ’ అనే శ్లోకం వివరిస్తుంది.

- పతనానికి తొలి మెట్టు మనసులో మొదలయ్యే చిన్న కాలుష్యం అసూయ. అది పైకి కనిపించదు కానీ లోపలి నుంచి మనిషిని తొలిచేస్తుంది. ఒకరి ఆనందాన్ని చూసి సంతోషించలేకపోవడం, ఒకరి ఎదుగుదలను చూసి తట్టుకోలేకపోవడమే అసూయ.
- గురుకృప త్రిమూర్తుల తత్వ స్వరూపుడు గురువు. ఈశ్వరుడికీ గురువుకూ మూర్తి భేదమే కానీ ఆత్మ ఒక్కటే. సద్గురువుల విశ్వాసాలు, విధానాలు, బోధనలు వేరైనా వారి లక్ష్యం లోకకల్యాణమే. ప్రజలను అజ్ఞానం నుంచి జ్ఞానం వైపు, మృత్యువు నుంచి అమృతత్వానికి నడిపించడమే వారి ధ్యేయం.

- అహింసా పరమో ధర్మః ‘అహింసా పరమో ధర్మస్తథాహింసా పరో దమః/ అహింసా పరమం దాన మహింసా పరమం తపః’ అంటుంది మహాభారతం. అహింసే పరమధర్మమని, దానికి మించిన తపస్సు లేదని చెబుతుంది.

- మెఱమెచ్చులు లోకుల మెప్పు పొందడానికి ప్రతివారు ప్రయత్నిస్తారు. మెఱమెచ్చు(మితిమీరిన పొగడ్త)లకు మురిసిపోనివారు తక్కువ. స్వలాభం కోసం స్తుతించేవారిని ముద్దుచేసేవారు కొందరైతే- తమకు తాముగానే డాబులకు పోయేవారు మరికొందరు!
- జడ భరతుడు ఆధ్యాత్మిక సాధన అంటే కేవలం బాహ్య ప్రపంచానికి దూరంగా ఉంటే సరిపోదు. మనసులోని కోరికలను, మమకారాన్ని కూడా జయించాలి. భరతుడు ధర్మబద్ధంగా పరిపాలించి చివరికి రాజ్యాన్ని వదిలి అడవిలో తపస్సు చేస్తుంటాడు.
- గ్రంథగ్రంథులు నవనీతం అంటే వెన్న. ఇది సామాన్యమైన అర్థం. దాన్ని ఏ భాగవత గ్రంథానికో విశేషణంగా చేర్చి ‘భాగవత నవనీతం’ అన్నప్పుడు- నవ అంటే ‘తాజాగా’ నీతం అంటే ‘భూమికి తెచ్చిన అమృతం’ అనే విశేషార్థం స్ఫురిస్తుంది.
- విజయతీరాలు జీవితంలో విజయం అనేది ఆకస్మికంగా వరించే అదృష్టం కాదు. అది మనం అనునిత్యం తీసుకునే నిర్ణయాల ప్రతిఫలం.
- జితేంద్రియులు సుఖదుఃఖాలు అస్థిరాలు. వాటి గురించి వ్యథ చెందడం వ్యర్థం. విషయవాసనలతో కూడిన ప్రపంచంలో ఉండి కూడా ఎవరు వాటిని అంటించుకోరో వారే జితేంద్రియులు. అంటే, ఇంద్రియాలను జయించిన వారు అని అర్థం.
- పరమ హితులు సకల జీవుల ఆనందమే ధ్యేయంగా సాగేది ప్రకృతి చైతన్యం. దాంతో మనిషి సమన్వయం సాధించినప్పుడే సంతోషకరమైన సార్థకజీవనం సాధ్యమవుతుంది.

Each creature in creation gets happiness through hard work. That's how we can achieve anything in life. Labor is not just physical hardship. A penance, a yajna, the path to liberation. Sagara decided to bring Ganga down to earth for the salvation of his sons. He did penance for thousands of years and pleased Brahma. Again he did penance for Lord Shiva to bear the speed of the Ganges flow. Appreciated by his perseverance, Lord Shiva tied Ganga in Jatajutam and slowly released her. That is why the effort which is done without giving up until the desired goal is achieved is called 'Bhagiratha effort'. Goddess Parvati did penance for a long time to get Lord Shiva as her husband. Leaving royal pleasures in the harem, she dried on the hills in the sun, was exposed to the rain, and did not even eat leaves and became 'Aparna'. She won Shiva's heart with that continuous initiation. Ardhanarishwari has become. Parvati proved that even love can be perfected with hard work. Behind Rama's victory was the toil of innumerable monkeys. When Lakshman faints, Hanuman climbs the entire mountain to fetch Sanjeeva's herb. Hanuma said that there should be intelligence and timeliness in the work. Krishna said in Bhagavad Gita 'Karmaneyevadhikaraste'. Focus on work and leave the result to me.
Self-esteem increases through hard work. Nothing compares to the satisfaction of saying 'this is my hard work'. A man who strives on the right path does not have bad thoughts, jealousy, hatred and sorrow. A working body is always strong. Labor is the best exercise for man. Lazy people never get lucky. Because fortune is hidden in the sweat of the hard worker. With hard work, the success of climbing each step brings indescribable joy. If the work is done sincerely and with devotion, that work becomes puja. God is seen in the struggle.
If you do it lazily, the work becomes heavy. If you like it, it will be comfortable. Work removes loneliness. Avoid unnecessary thoughts. If you want rock sculpture, you have to take chisel blows. If a man wants to be great, he has to work hard. This is the message of our Puranas. What makes our dreams come true are the glistening drops of sweat on a toiling body. 'Krishito Nasti Durbhiksham' said the elders! There is nothing that hard work cannot achieve. The satisfaction and self-confidence that comes from work makes a man powerful. Everyone's physical activity is useful for the economic progress of the country and the development of society. Nothing is impossible for him who strives. Hard work is divine, what comes with hard work is eternal.
