Internet Desk: Jantar Mantar Mantar) was heard on Thursday in the Supreme Court (Supreme Court) challenging the removal of the protest site from the list. The High Court has issued notices seeking an explanation from the Central Government and the Delhi Police on this matter. It made it clear that if their answers were not satisfactory, the law would take its course. Did they remove Jantarmantar as a protest platform based on their comments in the past? Or was the decision taken independently? The court asked. Solicitor General (SG) Tushar Mehta told the court that this decision was not taken because of the Supreme Court's comments, but the change was made based on the report of a special committee set up for this purpose. Orders to this effect were issued on October 11. However, the petitioners have expressed concern that it will become difficult for people to go to the newly identified places and it will be difficult to bring their problems to the attention of the authorities.
