దమ్మామ్‌ విమానాశ్రయం రియాద్‌కు 410 కిలోమీటర్ల దూరంలో ఉంది. ఇది అరేబియన్‌ గల్ఫ్‌ తీరంలో కీలక పారిశ్రామిక నగరం. దీనికి తోడు ఇక్కడి ఎయిర్‌పోర్టు కీలక ఏవియేషన్‌ హబ్‌.

సౌదీ-హూతీలు చర్చలతోనే సమస్యలు పరిష్కరించుకోవాలని ఇరాన్ ( Iran) విదేశాంగ మంత్రి అబ్బాస్‌ అరాగ్చీ పేర్కొన్నారు. తమకు పొరుగుదేశాలతో యుద్ధాలు చేయాలన్న కోరికలేదని పేర్కొన్నారు. హూతీలు పూర్తిగా స్వతంత్ర వైఖరితోనే పనిచేస్తున్నారన్నారు. సౌదీపై దాడులకు ఇరాన్ ప్రోత్సహించిందన్న వాదనలు వస్తున్న నేపథ్యంలో అరాగ్చీ స్పందించారు.
రియాద్‌ ఎయిర్‌పోర్ట్‌పై దాడిని తుర్కియే తీవ్రంగా ఖండించింది. ఇది అంతర్జాతీయ చట్టాలకు పూర్తిగా వ్యతిరేకమని పేర్కొంది. వీటిని తక్షణమే నిలిపేయాలని డిమాండ్‌ చేసింది. సౌదీకి తాము పూర్తిగా అండగా నిలుస్తామని ప్రకటించింది.
సౌదీకి అత్యవసరమైతే తప్ప తమ దేశ ప్రజలు వెళ్లొద్దని యూకే ట్రావెల్‌ అడ్వైజరీ జారీ చేసింది. ముఖ్యంగా జెడ్డా, దమ్మామ్‌, మదీనా ఎయిర్‌పోర్టులకు వెళ్లే విషయంలో అప్రమత్తంగా ఉండాలని పేర్కొంది.
