I Squared-Veolia Competition for Re-Sustainability Procurement

High Centrally located in Darabad. A consortium of American-based I Squared Capital and French-based Veolia is showing interest in buying the operating waste management company Re Sustainability. An English magazine revealed that the consortium has made preliminary proposals estimating the value of re-sustainability at around Rs 10,000-11,000 crore. Investment firm KKR, which has a 60% stake in Re Sustainability, is expecting a valuation of at least Rs 14,000-16,000 crore. It is reported that KKR intends to sell only if it gets a higher valuation of 13-15 times the operating profit in the next financial year. That is why it is reported that KKR is considering other alternatives along with the latest proposal. Apart from India, Re Sustainability has operations in more than 100 regions like Singapore, UAE, Saudi Arabia and America. The company has around 22,000 employees. In 2025-26, the company has crossed a revenue of Rs.2,700 crore and an operating profit of Rs.930 crore. It expects to make an operating profit of Rs 1,100 crore on revenue of Rs 3,400 crore in the current financial year.
