ఈనాడు, హైదరాబాద్: మేడిగడ్డ బ్యారేజీ ఏడో బ్లాక్‌ను పూర్తిగా తొలగించి మళ్లీ నిర్మించాలా లేక పూర్తి స్థాయి నీటిమట్టం వరకు రాఫ్ట్‌ను పెంచి గేట్లు లేకుండా నాన్‌ఓవర్‌ఫ్లో సెక్షన్‌గా మార్చాలా అన్నదానిపై కేంద్రజలసంఘం (సీడబ్ల్యూసీ) తుది నిర్ణయం తీసుకోవాలని కాళేశ్వరం బ్యారేజీల పునరుద్ధరణ కోసం ఏర్పాటైన టెక్నికల్‌ ఓవర్‌సైట్‌ కమిటీ (టీఓసీ) పేర్కొంది. ఈ రెండు ప్రత్యామ్నాయాల డిజైన్లకు సంబంధించిన వివరాలతో పాటు ఆర్‌సీసీ డయాఫ్రం వాల్, స్టిల్లింగ్‌ బేసిన్‌ పెంపునకు సంబంధించిన పూర్తి కాలిక్యులేషన్స్‌ కూడా సీడబ్ల్యూసీకి ఇవ్వాలని చెప్పింది. మేడిగడ్డ బ్యారేజీని వాప్కోస్‌ నివేదిక ప్రకారం 82వేల క్యూమెక్కుల వరద ప్రవాహానికి తగ్గట్లుగా డిజైన్‌ చేయగా, సీడబ్ల్ల్యూసీ అధ్యయనాల ఆధారంగా 72వేల క్యూమెక్కులకు తగ్గించాలని డిజైనర్‌ సంస్థ ప్రతిపాదించగా, దీనిని నీటిపారుదల శాఖ జలసంఘానికి పంపింది. అయితే ఆమోదించిన డిజైన్‌ ఫ్ల్లడ్‌లో మార్పులు చేయాల్సిన అవసరం ఏమిటని, తగ్గించాలనడానికి ప్రాతిపదిక ఏమిటని ప్రశ్నించిన టీఓసీ, పూర్తి వివరాలను పరిశీలించిన తర్వాత దీనిపై సీబ్ల్యూసీయే నిర్ణయం తీసుకోవాల్సి ఉంటుందని స్పష్టం చేసింది. పునరుద్ధరణకు సంబంధించిన ప్రతిపాదనలను పరిశీలించి సమగ్ర డిజైన్లు, అంచనాలు తయారు చేయాలని.. సీడబ్ల్యూసీ పరిశీలించి గ్రీన్‌సిగ్నల్‌ ఇచ్చిన తర్వాత ముందుకు వెళ్లాలని, నవంబరులో పనులు ప్రారంభించాలనుకొంటున్నందున ఈ లోగా అవసరమైన ఏర్పాట్లు చేసుకోవాలని కమిటీ ఛైర్మన్‌ సూచించినట్లు తెలిసింది. మళ్లీ పొరపాట్లు జరగకూడదని, అన్ని అంశాలను పరిగణనలోకి తీసుకొని నిర్ణయం తీసుకోవాలని సూచించినట్లు సమాచారం. టీఓసీ ఛైర్మన్‌ సమీర్‌కుమార్‌ శుక్లా అధ్యక్షతన బుధవారం దిల్లీలో జరిగిన సమావేశంలో నీటిపారుదల శాఖ కార్యదర్శి శ్రీధర్, ప్రత్యేక కార్యదర్శి పరీక్షిత్‌ మెహ్రా, ఈఎన్సీ రమేశ్‌బాబు, కేంద్ర సంస్థల అధికారులు, ప్రతినిధులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
