కెరీర్ విషయంలో ఎన్నో అనుకుంటాం.. కానీ అన్నీ సాధ్యం కాకపోవచ్చు. చేసిన ప్రయత్నాలూ విఫలం కావచ్చు.. అయినా సానుకూల దృక్పథంతో ముందుకు సాగినప్పుడే అవకాశాల్ని అందుకోగలం. తన సక్సెస్‌తో ఇదే విషయం నిరూపించింది మోనా భుజేల్. బెంగళూరుకు చెందిన ఈ మోడల్.. ఇటీవలే ప్రతిష్టాత్మక ‘షానెల్’ రన్‌వేపై నడిచి వార్తల్లో నిలిచింది. కెరీర్ ప్రారంభంలో పలు ఒడిదొడుకులు, వరుస తిరస్కరణలు ఎదురైనా నిరాశ చెందక సరైన సమయం కోసం ఎదురుచూసింది. ‘షానెల్’ రూపంలో ఆ అవకాశం వరించడంతో తన కల ఫలించిందంటూ సంబరపడిపోతోంది.
ఫ్యాషనర్‌ కావాలనుకున్నా.. కానీ!
ఇండియన్‌-నేపాలీ కుటుంబానికి చెందిన మోనా డార్జిలింగ్‌లో పుట్టింది. బెంగళూరులో పెరిగింది. ఫ్యాషన్ డిజైనర్ కావాలనేది ఆమె కల. ఈ ఆలోచనతోనే స్కూలింగ్‌ పూర్తయ్యాక ఫ్యాషన్ డిజైనింగ్‌ కోర్సు చేసింది. అయితే అనుకోకుండా వచ్చిన అవకాశం తన కెరీర్‌నే మార్చేసిందంటోంది మోనా.
‘నిజానికి మొదట్లో నాకు మోడలింగ్‌లోకి రావాలన్న ఆలోచనే లేదు. కాకపోతే ఫ్యాషన్ డిజైనింగ్‌ పూర్తయ్యాక 2020లో ఓ మోడలింగ్‌ ఏజెన్సీ నాకు మోడల్‌గా అవకాశమిచ్చింది. దీన్ని స్వీకరించాలా? వద్దా? అని మొదట్లో కాస్త తటపటాయించినా ఆ తర్వాత ఓ ప్రయత్నం చేద్దామనిపించింది. వృత్తిలో భాగంగా వివిధ ప్రాంతాలకు వెళ్లడం, కొత్త వ్యక్తుల్ని కలుసుకోవడం.. ఇవన్నీ నన్ను కంఫర్ట్‌ జోన్‌ నుంచి బయటపడేశాయి. దాంతో మోడలింగ్‌ అంటే ఇష్టం పెరిగింది. అయితే అదే సమయంలో కొవిడ్‌ విజృంభించడంతో అవకాశాలు రాలేదు. ఆ తర్వాత అవకాశాలు వచ్చినా ఆడిషన్‌లో తిరస్కరణలు ఎదురయ్యాయి. అయినా నిరాశపడకుండా నా నైపుణ్యాల్ని మెరుగుపరచుకోవడంపై దృష్టి పెట్టా. సరైన సమయం కోసం వేచి చూశా..’ అంటోన్న ఈ యంగ్‌ మోడల్ ఎదురుచూపులకు 2022లో తెరపడింది. అదే ఏడాది ఓ అంతర్జాతీయ మోడలింగ్‌ ఏజెన్సీ నుంచి అవకాశం అందుకుంది మోనా.
‘మిలాన్‌’తో మొదలు..
2022లో ‘మిలాన్‌ ఫ్యాషన్ వీక్‌’తో అంతర్జాతీయ మోడలింగ్‌ ప్రపంచంలోకి అడుగుపెట్టిన మోనా.. ఇందులో భాగంగా నిర్వహించిన ‘స్ప్రింగ్/సమ్మర్ 2023’ షోలో Bottega Veneta బ్రాండ్ తరఫున ర్యాంప్ వాక్ చేసింది. ఆ తర్వాత పలు ప్రముఖ ఫ్యాషన్ లేబుల్స్‌కి మోడల్‌గా వ్యవహరించిన ఆమె.. గౌరవ్‌ గుప్తా, అనామికా ఖన్నా.. వంటి మేటి ఫ్యాషనర్లు రూపొందించిన ఫ్యాషనబుల్‌ దుస్తులు ధరించి ఫొటోలకు పోజిచ్చింది. 2023 కేన్స్‌ చిత్రోత్సవంలో స్విస్‌ లగ్జరీ ఫ్యాషన్ యాక్సెసరీస్ బ్రాండ్ ‘చొపార్డ్’ నిర్వహించిన ఫొటోషూట్‌లో పాల్గొని ఎంతోమంది దృష్టిని ఆకర్షించిన ఆమె.. నటి దీపికా పదుకొణెతో కలిసి ఓ ఫ్యాషన్ కాంపెయిన్‌లో మెరిసింది. ఇక ఇటీవలే ప్రతిష్టాత్మక ‘షానెల్’ రన్‌వేపై నడిచే అవకాశం అందుకొని మరోసారి వార్తల్లో నిలిచింది మోనా. ప్యారిస్‌లో జరిగిన షానెల్ ‘స్ప్రింగ్/సమ్మర్ 2027 రెడీ-టు-వేర్’ షోలో ఫ్రెంచ్‌-బెల్జియన్‌ డిజైనర్, షానెల్ క్రియేటివ్‌ డైరెక్టర్ మాథ్యూ బ్లేజీ కోసం ర్యాంప్ వాక్ చేసిందీ యంగ్‌ మోడల్. ఇందులో భాగంగా షీర్‌ బ్లాక్‌ బ్లౌజ్‌ ధరించిన మోనా.. చెక్స్‌ స్కర్ట్‌, మ్యాచింగ్‌ జాకెట్‌తో ర్యాంప్‌పై హొయలుపోయింది. లెదర్‌ బెల్ట్‌, బ్లౌజ్‌పై అటాచ్‌ చేసిన ఫ్లోరల్‌ పీస్‌, బ్లాక్‌ అండ్‌ వైట్‌ షూస్‌తో తన లుక్‌ని పూర్తిచేసిన ఆమె.. సింపుల్‌ ఇయర్‌ రింగ్స్తో అదరగొట్టేసింది. ఈ షోలో భాగంగా మరో ఇద్దరు భారతీయ మోడల్స్‌ లక్ష్మి మేనన్‌, భవిత మండవలతో కలిసి స్టేజి పంచుకుంది మోనా.
ఆ అవకాశం అలా..!
అవకాశాల్ని అందిపుచ్చుకున్నప్పుడే కెరీర్‌లో ముందుకు సాగగలం. అయితే అవకాశాలు రానంత మాత్రాన కెరీర్ ముగిసిపోదంటోంది మోనా.
‘నేనూ నా కెరీర్‌లో కొన్ని గడ్డు పరిస్థితుల్ని ఎదుర్కొన్నా. ఆడిషన్‌కి వెళ్లిన ప్రతిసారీ ఈ అవకాశం నా కోసమేనేమో అనిపించేది. అలా ఆశపడి, ఆపై తిరస్కరణకు గురైన సందర్భాలు చాలానే ఉన్నాయి. షానెల్ షో అవకాశం అందుకున్నప్పుడు.. ఇన్నాళ్ల ఎదురుచూపులకు ఇప్పుడు ఫలితం దక్కిందనిపించింది. నిజానికి ఈ అవకాశం నేను ఊహించలేదు. ఓ రోజు క్యాబ్‌లో నా ఫ్రెండ్‌ని కలవడానికి వెళ్తున్నప్పుడు నా ఫోన్‌ మోగింది. అటువైపు నా మేనేజర్.. షానెల్ అవకాశం వరించిందని చెప్పగానే ఒక్కసారిగా ఎమోషనలయ్యా. ఈ ఫ్యాషన్ వేదికపై నడవడం అద్భుతమైన అనుభూతిని పంచింది. ఇండియన్‌-నేపాలీ కుటుంబానికి చెందిన నన్ను చూసి మా ప్రాంతానికి చెందిన ఒక్క అమ్మాయి ప్రేరణ పొందినా చాలు..’ అంటూ తన మాటలతోనూ ఈ తరం అమ్మాయిల్లో స్ఫూర్తి నింపుతోందీ యువ మోడల్.
