BCCI Selector! ఇంటర్నెట్ డెస్క్‌: బీసీసీఐ నుంచి ఏదైనా పదవి ఆఫర్ వచ్చిందంటే ఎవరైనా ఎగిరి గంతేస్తారు. ప్రపంచంలోనే అత్యంత సంపద కలిగిన క్రికెట్ బోర్డు ఇదే మరి. ఎందుకో గానీ, ఈసారి మాత్రం ఈ పదవులపై పెద్దగా ఆసక్తి కన్పించట్లేదు. బీసీసీఐ ఇటీవల సెలక్టర్ పదవి కోసం దరఖాస్తులను ఆహ్వానించింది. ఈపాటికే భారత మాజీ క్రికెటర్ల నుంచి చాలా దరఖాస్తులు వచ్చి ఉంటాయని అనుకోవడం సహజమే. కానీ, అలా జరగలేదు. ఓ ఇద్దరు మాజీలైతే ఏకంగా తమ వద్దకు వచ్చిన ఆఫర్‌ను కూడా తిరస్కరించారని వార్తలూ వస్తున్నాయి. వారిద్దరికి వందకుపైగా టెస్టులు ఆడిన అనుభవం ఉందని సమాచారం.
నాలుగేళ్లపాటు చీఫ్ సెలక్టర్‌గా పనిచేసిన అజిత్ అగార్కర్ (Ajit Agarkar) పదవీ కాలం అక్టోబర్ 4తో ముగిసింది. ఆ వెంటనే బీసీసీఐ ( BCCI) వెస్ట్ జోన్ నుంచి సెలక్టర్ పదవి కోసం దరఖాస్తులను ఆహ్వానించింది. అక్టోబర్ 14 సాయంత్రం 5 గంటలతో గడువు ముగిసింది. రమేశ్‌ పొవార్, సమీర్ దిఘే మాత్రమే అప్లై చేసుకున్నారు. పార్థివ్ పటేల్‌ దరఖాస్తు చేసుకుంటే.. అతడే చీఫ్ సెలక్టర్‌గా నియమితులయ్యేవాడు. కానీ, అతడు ఆసక్తి చూపించలేదు. దీంతో ప్రజ్ఞాన్ ఓజా చీఫ్ సెలక్టర్ కావడం ఖాయమే. ఓజాతోపాటు ప్రస్తుతం ఆర్పీ సింగ్, అజయ్ రాత్రా, ఎస్‌ఎస్ దాస్ సెలక్టర్లుగా ఉన్నారు.

దశాబ్దన్నర కిందటి వరకూ సెలక్టర్ల జీత భత్యాలు ఎక్కువగా ఉండేవి కావు. కానీ, ఎంపిక కమిటీ బడ్జెట్‌ను బీసీసీఐ భారీగా పెంచింది. పెద్ద మొత్తంలోనే వేతనాలను చెల్లిస్తోంది. మొన్నటి వరకూ ఆ బడ్జెట్ రూ.17.45 కోట్లు ఉండగా.. 2026-27 ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరానికి దాన్ని రూ.19.35 కోట్లకు పెంచింది. చీఫ్ సెలక్టర్‌గా పనిచేసే వారికి ఏడాదికి రూ.3 కోట్ల వరకూ అందనుంది. అందుకు తగిన పెద్ద బాధ్యతలు కూడా అతడిపై ఉంటాయి. దేశవాళీ, అంతర్జాతీయ మ్యాచుల్లో ఆడే ప్లేయర్ల సత్తాను అంచనా వేయడం, అవసరమైతే మ్యాచుల కోసం ప్రయాణాలు చేయడంతో పాటు సమావేశాలకూ హాజరవ్వాలి. మిగతా సెలక్టర్లు కూడా మెరుగైన ప్యాకేజీని అందుకొంటారు. ప్రతి సభ్యుడూ త్రైమాసిక నివేదికలను తయారు చేసి బీసీసీఐ అపెక్స్ కౌన్సిల్‌కు సమర్పించాలి. జట్లకు సారథిని నియమించే కీలక బాధ్యత కూడా సెలక్షన్ కమిటీ సభ్యులపైనే ఉంటుంది.
