వాషింగ్టన్‌: విశ్వంలో కనీవినీ ఎరుగని ఒక భారీ ఆకృతిని అమెరికా శాస్త్రవేత్తల బృందం గుర్తించింది. అది ఏకంగా 10వేల కోట్ల సూర్యుళ్ల స్థాయిలో వెలుగులీనుతోంది. సౌర కుటుంబం కన్నా ఇది పెద్దగా ఉంది. రోదసిలోని జేమ్స్‌ వెబ్‌ స్పేస్‌ టెలిస్కోపు (జేడబ్ల్యూఎస్‌టీ) దీన్ని గుర్తించింది. దాన్ని కొత్తరకం ఖగోళ వస్తువుగా వర్గీకరించాల్సి ఉంటుందని శాస్త్రవేత్తలు అంటున్నారు. అమెరికాలోని మసాచుసెట్స్‌ ఇన్‌స్టిట్యూట్‌ ఆఫ్‌ టెక్నాలజీ (ఎంఐటీ)కి చెందిన శాస్త్రవేత్తలు ఈ పరిశోధన చేశారు. హైదరాబాద్‌లో జన్మించిన రోహన్‌ నాయుడు వీరికి నేతృత్వం వహించటం విశేషం.
మొదట ఎర్ర చుక్కలా..
తొలినాటి విశ్వానికి సంబంధించిన గెలాక్సీల కోసం గాలిస్తున్న తరుణంలో పరిశోధకులకు ఇది తారసపడింది. జేడబ్ల్యూఎస్‌టీ చిత్రాల్లో మొదట ఈ వస్తువు ప్రకాశవంతమైన ఎర్ర చుక్కలా కనిపించింది. దీన్ని నిశితంగా పరిశీలించాక అనూహ్యమైన అంశం బయటపడింది. దాని వెలుగులు చూసి.. అది సాధారణ నక్షత్రం కాదని శాస్త్రవేత్తలు తేల్చారు. అయినా దాని ఆకృతి ఏ కృష్ణబిలం లేదా గెలాక్సీతో సరిపోలడంలేదు. విశ్వం ఆవిర్భావానికి కారణమైన ‘బిగ్‌ బ్యాంగ్‌’ పరిణామం ఏర్పడిన కొద్దికాలానికే ఇది రూపుదాల్చిందని భావిస్తున్నారు. ఈ తరహా ఖగోళ వస్తువులను ‘కృష్ణబిల నక్షత్రాలు’గా వర్గీకరించాలని పరిశోధకులు ప్రతిపాదించారు.
ఏముంది?
ఆ వింత ఖగోళ వస్తువుకు ఎంఓఎం-బీహెచ్‌-1 అని పేరు పెట్టారు. అందులో సూర్యుడి కన్నా లక్ష రెట్లు భారీగా ఉన్న ఒక కృష్ణబిలం ఉండొచ్చని శాస్త్రవేత్తలు సూత్రీకరించారు. దాని చుట్టూ ఒక హైడ్రోజన్ వాయు వలయం ఉండొచ్చని పేర్కొన్నారు. అందువల్ల సౌర కుటుంబమంత పెద్దగా ఉండే నక్షత్రంలా అది కనిపిస్తోందని వివరించారు. సాధారణ తారలు కేంద్రక సంలీనచర్య (న్యూక్లియర్‌ ఫ్యూజన్‌) ద్వారా శక్తిని సమకూర్చుకుంటాయి. ఈ ఖగోళ వస్తువు మాత్రం తన కృష్ణబిలంలోకి వచ్చి పడుతున్న పదార్థాల ద్వారా శక్తిని ఒడిసిపడుతుండొచ్చని శాస్త్రవేత్తలు విశ్లేషిస్తున్నారు. ఈ కృష్ణబిల తారలో ఎలాంటి భారలోహాలు లేవని, ప్రధానంగా హైడ్రోజన్, హీలియం మాత్రమే ఉన్నాయని చెబుతున్నారు.
హైదరాబాద్‌లో పుట్టి పెరిగిన రోహన్‌ నాయుడు తొలుత ఇంజినీరింగ్‌లో చేరారు. అయితే పెద్ద ఆసక్తిగా అనిపించకపోవడంతో ఆ చదువును వదిలేశారు. 18 ఏళ్ల వయసులో సింగపూర్‌లోని యేల్‌-ఎన్‌యూఎస్‌ కాలేజీలో చేరారు. అక్కడ ఖగోళశాస్త్రంపై మక్కువ పెంచుకున్నారు. తర్వాత అమెరికాలోని హార్వర్డ్‌ విశ్వవిద్యాలయంలో చేరారు. 2022లో ఖగోళశాస్త్రంలో పీహెచ్‌డీ పట్టా అందుకున్నారు. బిగ్‌ బ్యాంగ్‌ అనంతరం ఏర్పడ్డ తొలి గెలాక్సీలపై ఆయన పరిశోధనలు చేస్తున్నారు.
