దావణగెరె: రాష్ట్ర, జాతీయ స్థాయిలో పలు పురస్కారాలు, బహుమతులు అందుకున్న ప్రముఖ బాడీ బిల్డర్ సుశీల్కుమార్ (26) గుండెపోటుతో మరణించారు. కర్ణాటక రాష్ట్రం దావణగెరెలోని కేటీ జంబణ్ణనగరకు చెందిన సుశీల్ మంగళవారం రాత్రి వ్యాయామశాల నుంచి ఇంటికి తిరిగి వచ్చిన అనంతరం అస్వస్థతకు గురై కుప్పకూలిపోయాడు. చికిత్స కోసం ఆసుపత్రికి తరలించినా ప్రయోజనం లేకపోయింది. ఆయన అప్పటికే కన్నుమూశారని వైద్యులు ధ్రువీకరించారు. అంతర్జాతీయ స్థాయిలో దేహదారుఢ్య పోటీలకు సుశీల్ సన్నాహాలు చేసుకుంటున్న తరుణంలోనే ఈ ఘటన జరగడం స్థానికులను కలచివేసింది. అతని తల్లి దేవమ్మ జిల్లా ఆసుపత్రిలో డి-గ్రూపు ఉద్యోగిని. రక్తపోటు పడిపోవడంతో గుండెపోటు వచ్చి మరణించినట్లు వైద్యులు ప్రాథమిక విచారణలో గుర్తించారు. దావణగెరె కేటీజే నగర ఠాణా పోలీసులు దర్యాప్తు చేపట్టారు.
