Sagarnagar: 13th International Conference of Laboratory Animal Scientists Association (LASA) is being organized at Geetam Deemed University. Dr. Varaprasada Reddy, founder of Shantha Biotech, who was the chief guest on Friday, inaugurated these meetings. Speaking on this occasion, he said that India plays a vital role in the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector in the world. In this context, if quality medicines are to be provided to humanity, research should be carried out following ethical values and high standards. Researchers are advised to focus on alternative knowledge for animals used in drug experiments. More than 600 representatives of foreign zoologists, pharmaceutical experts, veterinary science researchers, scientists of central research institutes and others participated in these meetings. These meetings will continue for two days.
