A small plant grows into a mighty tree and gives fruit to the weary. Only when it is shadowed is it worthwhile. When the Moon gradually increases in strength and attains fullness, the full moon entertains. Only when something in nature gradually blossoms and attains perfection does its true beauty and purpose come to light. The same applies to the human mind.

Just as the great tree is hidden in the seed, knowledge, love, compassion, wisdom, creativity and spiritual awareness are hidden in every human being. They develop gradually through continuous practice, experience, introspection, discipline, and satsangatya. Book knowledge alone is not absolute knowledge. It becomes wisdom only when it is put into practice, honed by experience and learned from mistakes. Also- Puja with turmeric, saffron, sandalwood, flowers, lamp, incense and offerings is an external form of devotion. But, as long as the lamp is lit outside, the lamp of knowledge does not light up inside. Focusing the mind is the first step in practice. In worship, the idol of God should be considered as a real presence of God, not just a stone or metal form. Manasa, Vacha, Karmana should be remembered. Every act of worship should bring about a change in us. After lighting the lamp, the darkness in us should decrease. After offering the flower, love should blossom in the heart. Along with offering, pride should be offered at the feet of God.

More than how long we did the puja, how much we spent, how much puja equipment we used, what is more important is how much the puja changed our mind. A clear mind is the way to reach the Supreme Soul, not through pomp. Just as the sky is clearly reflected in a calm water, so the divine essence is visible in the calm mind. Mental development does not happen overnight. We should grow by removing each fault and developing each virtue. Being able to remain silent when angry, not abandoning dharma even in the face of loss, enjoying the happiness of others, recognizing one's mistake and correcting it, letting go of the ego of 'I' and developing a sense of 'we' are the signs of maturity. Puja is a sacred occasion to express gratitude. It is our duty to give thanks to the Lord who has bestowed human birth, wisdom and discernment. He should be known by the calmness of his mind, the sweetness of his words, the compassion and sanctity of his behavior. If the mind blossoms, life blossoms. If life flourishes, family flourishes. Society flourishes with family. At last when the sense of 'I' dissolves and only the feeling of 'Anta Paramatma' remains, that is the culmination of manoparinita.
