``SIf we go to the weights and untie the yoke, then All the knots of this movie are going to unfold in theatres. They give a thrilling experience to the audience," said Shiva Nirvana. Ravi Teja's film 'Irumudi' was directed by him. Produced by Naveen Erneni and Y. Ravishankar under Mythri Movie Makers banner. The film is hitting the screens this Friday. On this occasion, director Shiva Nirvana interacted with reporters in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

Irumudi is a story with three knots. How did you come up with the idea of combining three sides in one story?

First the idea is to tell the story of soil from the rural area. Then I wanted to tell that story in the background of a drunken father. But Ayyappaswamy temple is 500 meters away from our house. Ayyappa's bhajans and songs are like background music to our lives throughout the month of Kartika. All these are the knots prepared from the questions of what would the conflict be like if Ayyappa, the drunken father in our story, wears a garland? We have prepared the audience beforehand that it is a multi-faceted story. We made the same clear with the trailer. Father-daughter relationship, criminal background, holding Ayyappa Swamy's mala, devotion, etc. evoked more curiosity in the audience.

Have you prepared this story for Ravi Teja?

First I will prepare the story itself. Then think about heroes. When the whole story was over... Ravi Teja's name came up when I thought who would be good for this background which no one has touched much. We believe that if an actor with a star image does such a story, it will reach more people. Masses, women, children... all are fans of Ravanna. We strongly believe that if we make this film with him, it will reach the homes and corners.

How will Ravi Teja's role be in this? What kind of experiences and connections did you have with him during this journey?

Ravi Teja looks like a very ordinary person named Trinath. A terrible nativity is seen in him. If you look at him, you will remember a grandfather and an uncle! That nativity is the life of this movie. Nakshatra who played his daughter also looks like a baby in our house. This golden mother came across while searching on Insta. Very well acted. As part of Nativity, heroine Priya Bhavani Shankar and Saikumar were selected as Guruswami! And the experience with Ravi Teja means... He doesn't think twice once he hears a story and trusts the director. No one is pressured or pressured. A person who believes that cinema is only a part of life.

Sealer has chosen background. What were the challenges in terms of filming?

Director Sukumar went to Maredumilli with the movie 'Rangasthalam'. We traveled another two and a half hours past Maredumilli and reached the borders of Odisha. We chose a village near Seeleru Dam there and shot it. Surrounded by forests, hills and dams. We chose that background as we felt that it would be appropriate for an innocent person like Trinath to be in such an area. The people of that area are also very innocent. They contributed a lot to the filming.  Producers Naveen Erneni and Y. Ravishankar made elaborate arrangements and support for the 250-strong crew. We completed the filming while staying in small houses. Vishnu's visuals and GV Prakash's music are the main strengths of the film. Mallepula Pallaki... song, in which Ravanna's dance gives the audience a feeling like Punam in theatres.

Emotions are the main ingredient in your films. What are your thoughts on storytelling?

My style is to tell stories with deep impact. I don't like to tell a story superficially, so that it is forgotten after leaving the theater. Even if we leave the film industry, we work with the desire to make our stories and characters last. But we can show some depth in love stories. With 'Irumudi', it is well understood that if the crime background and strong emotions are added to it, the film will go to another level. Did it reach you?

That campaign was done because it was a story set in a rare background. With the release of Ravi Teja's look carrying a baby along with Irumu, everyone thought it was a remake of 'Malikappuram'. There have been no films in recent times in the background of Ayyappa Swamy. That one movie that came out in that background was brought and compared. No one would ask if the same hero looked like a doctor, engineer or police officer. I know what the content of my movie is, so I am not worried about any publicity.
