AI data center.. Meta, Reliance join hands

Internetdesk: Data centers are crucial in storing data generated globally and connecting it to users. Now, Reliance Industries and social media giant Meta have joined hands to set up such a data center. They have partnered to develop a 168 MW data center in Jamnagar, Gujarat. It will be available in two years. In this regard, the two companies released a joint statement on Wednesday.

The data center will serve Meta's global infrastructure and meet its business and AI computing needs. Meta announces partnership with Cleanmax, Forth Partner Energies for 1GW of renewable energy. Meanwhile, Meta and Reliance have been working together for several years. In 2020, Mark Zuckerberg's company acquired a 9.99 percent stake in Jio Platforms. Also both have formed a joint venture with 100 million dollars. Will develop AI solutions for domestic and international companies.
