Today, Delhi: Last. Union Coal and Mines Minister G.Kishan Reddy has accused that the power system in the state has collapsed due to the disorderly policies of the Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi and the current Congress governments. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka announced in his white paper that the debts owed by the state's discoms are more than Rs.30 thousand crores, but in reality, the arrears to be paid in connection with the purchase of coal and electricity by one Singareni company are said to be more than Rs.47 thousand crores. Speaking at a press conference at his residence here on Thursday, he criticized the Revanth Reddy government. The former Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi government and the present Congress government are using Singareni as a golden duck and will not pay its dues. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that no matter how many raising summits he holds without trying to derail the state's electricity system, it will not benefit the people. Due to non-payment of salaries, the condition of electricity workers has become miserable. Bhatti said that by 2047, the electricity demand in the state will increase to one lakh megawatts. The state does not have the necessary system for that. The previous Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi government and the current Congress government have not taken any steps for this. If additional current is not generated, the state will not have industries. In the state budget, Rs. 21 thousand crores have been allocated for the power sector. That amount is not enough to settle the old debts and pay for the free electricity scheme. The government wants to set up a new DISC for the implementation of free schemes and meet the industrial, commercial and household needs through the rest of the DISCs. The government wants to take loans through them. The money to provide adequate funds to the District Mineral Fund which was set up to solve the problems of the mineral mining areas is now missing at Singareni. Due to this, there is a situation where funds cannot be given to 8 and 9 districts. The hard work of Singareni workers should be repaid Rs.47 thousand crores. CM Revanth Reddy should pay the dues immediately.

According to the Partition Act, NTPC is preparing to set up a power project with a capacity of 4,000 MW in the state and has already started production of 1,600 MW. Another 2,400 MW project is ready to be built. For this, the Chairman of NTPC asked the former Chief Minister KCR and the current CM Revanth Reddy to enter into power purchase agreements, but they did not come forward. How justified is it to announce that the state government will set up projects in Ramagundam, Palvancha and Maktal instead? If new debts are incurred and electricity is produced in the private sector, the burden will have to be borne by the people of the state. How much unit current is bought from those companies? Kishan Reddy also demanded that the CM should give an answer to the people about the lands and PPAs allotted to those organizations. href="https://www.facebook.com/eenaduonline/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Facebook, Twitter, Instagram& Google News.
