Kilo tomato Rs.50 in Madanapalle

Madanapalle Rural: On Friday, a kilo of tomato fetched up to Rs.50 in the agricultural market yard. For the last two weeks, the price of a kilo of tomato in the market has not exceeded Rs.43. At present, farmers have brought 102 tons of tomato to the market from Madanapalle, Tamballapalle constituencies and Rayalapadu in the border state of Karnataka. To this extent, any grade tomato per kg is Rs. 42 to Rs.50, B grade from Rs.28 to Rs. 41 as a slab.. On an average Rs.38 to Rs.47 were bought by traders from farmers.
