DA increase for electricity workers in Telangana

Hyderabad: Drought allowance (DA) for electricity workers. The Telangana state government has taken a decision by increasing the rate by 1.62 percent. This will benefit 70,804 employees. The government has waved the green flag for the proposal to increase the DA to come into effect from January 1 this year. With this increase in DA, the government will have an additional financial burden of about Rs.9.35 crore per month. A total of 70,804 employees and pensioners working in power sector companies will be benefited. Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka said that despite the record demand in the state, electricity is being supplied uninterruptedly. He said that this demand will double by 2035.
