ఈనాడు-విశాఖపట్నం, కూర్మన్నపాలెం, ఉక్కునగరం: ‘స్టీలుప్లాంటు ప్రమాద బాధిత కుటుంబాలకు శాశ్వతంగా అండగా నిలబడతాం. పరిహారం ప్రకటించి చేతులు దులిపేసుకోం. మృతిచెందినవారు ఒప్పంద ఉద్యోగులైనా, శాశ్వత ఉద్యోగులైనా కుటుంబసభ్యుల్లో ఒకరికి శాశ్వత ఉద్యోగం కల్పిస్తాం. ఈ విషయాన్ని అవసరమైతే కేంద్ర మంత్రివర్గం దృష్టికి తీసుకెళ్లి ఒప్పిస్తానని ఉక్కుమంత్రి కుమారస్వామి ప్రకటించారు. అసలు ప్యాకేజీ ఇవ్వకుంటే ప్లాంటు తెరుచుకునేది కాదని, ఈ ప్రమాదం జరిగి ఉండేది కాదని కార్మిక నేతలు మాట్లాడుతున్నారు. ప్రజలు కూడా ఆలోచించాలి’ అని మంత్రి నారా లోకేశ్ అన్నారు. స్టీలుప్లాంటు ప్రమాదంలో తీవ్రగాయాలతో కిమ్స్, సెవెన్ హిల్స్ ఆసుపత్రుల్లో చికిత్స పొందుతున్న క్షతగాత్రులను మంగళవారం ఆయన పరామర్శించారు. అనంతరం కేజీహెచ్లో మృతుల కుటుంబసభ్యులకు భరోసా ఇచ్చారు. ప్రమాదం జరిగిన ప్రదేశాన్ని పరిశీలించి వివరాలు తెలుసుకున్నారు. అనంతరం లోకేశ్ మీడియాతో మాట్లాడుతూ.. ఉక్కు ప్రమాదంలో మృతుల కుటుంబాలకు రూ.25 లక్షలు, క్షతగాత్రులకు రూ.10లక్షల పరిహారం మంగళవారం రాత్రికే అందిస్తామన్నారు. ప్లాంట్ ద్వారా మృతుల కుటుంబాలకు రావాల్సిన ఎక్స్గ్రేషియా, పీఎఫ్ నగదు, తదితరాలు లెక్కించి ఆయా కుటుంబాల ఖాతాల్లో జమచేయించే బాధ్యత ప్రభుత్వం తీసుకుంటుందన్నారు. ‘విశాఖ ఉక్కును ప్రైవేటీకరణ కాకుండా కాపాడుకున్నాం. రూ.15వేల కోట్ల ప్యాకేజీ తెచ్చాం. తిరిగి ఉత్పత్తి ప్రారంభించాం. ఇలాంటి పరిస్థితుల్లో ప్రమాదం జరగడం బాధాకరం. నిర్వహణలో, భద్రతలో ఎక్కడా లోపం లేదు. ప్రమాదంపై నిజనిర్ధారణకు కమిటీని నియమించాం. ఏ విషయమైనా కమిటీ పరిశీలనతోనే తెలుస్తుంది’ అని లోకేశ్ తెలిపారు.

ప్రమాదబాధిత కుటుంబాలను మంత్రి లోకేశ్ కేజీహెచ్లో పరామర్శించిప్పుడు మృతుల కుటుంబాలకు రూ.కోటి పరిహారం ఇవ్వాలంటూ అక్కడున్న వామపక్ష పార్టీల నేతలు డిమాండ్ చేశారు. తాము పరిహారం ఇచ్చి చేతులు దులిపేసుకోవడానికి రాలేదని, బాధితులకు అండగా ఉండేందుకు వచ్చామని లోకేశ్ అన్నారు. ఒత్తిడి పెరగడం, నిర్వహణ లేకపోవడంతోనే ప్లాంటులో ప్రమాదాలు జరుగుతున్నాయని, దానికి ప్రభుత్వమే బాధ్యత వహించాలని వామపక్ష పార్టీల రాష్ట్ర నాయకులు వీవీ శ్రీనివాసరావు, లోక్నాథం, ఏవీ నాగేశ్వరరావు, జేవీ సత్యనారాయణమూర్తి, ఇతర కార్మిక సంఘాల నాయకులు డిమాండ్ చేశారు. విశాఖ ఉక్కు కర్మాగారాన్ని రాష్ట్రప్రభుత్వమే రక్షించిందని లోకేశ్ చెబుతుండగా, అందుకే అంతమంది చనిపోయారంటూ వెనుక నుంచి ఒకరు వ్యాఖ్యానించారు. దీనిపై లోకేశ్ తీవ్రంగా స్పందించారు. ‘కేంద్ర, రాష్ట్రమంత్రులు, రాష్ట్ర ఉప ముఖ్యమంత్రి కూడా బాధితుల పరామర్శకు వస్తున్నారు. బాధిత కుటుంబాలతో మాట్లాడుతున్నప్పుడు అడ్డుతగిలితే ఎలా? మీరు కర్మాగారంలో పనిచేయడం లేదు, మీ కుటుంబాల్లో ఎవరూ చనిపోలేదు. ప్లాంటు సమస్యలపై కావాలంటే మళ్లీ మాట్లాడదాం. ఇక్కడ రాజకీయం చేయాలంటే బయటకు వెళ్లొచ్చు’ అన్నారు. కార్మికుల పక్షాన పోరాటాలు చేస్తుంటే ఉలికిపాటు ఎందుకని వామపక్ష నేతలు అన్నారు.
