సమాజంలో వ్యక్తి బుద్ధిమంతుడై ఉండాలంటే అనేక విషయాలు ప్రభావితం చేస్తాయి. పుట్టి పెరిగిన వాతావరణం, విద్య, సంస్కారం, జ్ఞానం వంటివన్నీ బుద్ధిబలాన్ని ఇనుమడింపజేస్తాయి. బుద్ధిమంతుడైన వ్యక్తి నిరంతరం ఎరుకతో ప్రవర్తిస్తాడు. తన చుట్టూ ఉన్న వాతావరణం పట్ల సరైన అవగాహన కలిగి ఉంటాడు. అటువంటి వారు ధర్మబద్ధమైన జీవనాన్ని గడపడం ద్వారా లోకంలో మానవత్వాన్ని ఉద్దీపనం చేస్తారు.
సృష్టిలో రూపురేఖావిలాసాల్లో మనుషులందరూ ఎలా ఒకేలా ఉండరో, బుద్ధి పరంగానూ ఒకేలా ఉండరు. కొందరు మందబుద్ధి కలిగి ఉంటారు. మరికొందరు ఒక మోస్తరు తెలివిని, ఇంకొందరు చురుకైన బుద్ధిని కలిగి ఉంటారు. వారిది కుశాగ్రబుద్ధి లేదా బుద్ధికుశలతగా చెప్పవచ్చు. దర్భగడ్డి మొన ఎంత వాడిగా ఉంటుందో వారి బుద్ధి అంత పదునుగా ఉంటుందని అర్థం. అటువంటి వారు విషయాన్ని వెంటనే గ్రహిస్తారు. వేగంగా నిర్ణయాలు తీసుకుంటారు. జ్ఞానవంతులైన వారు ఎవరైనా ఇటువంటి బుద్ధికుశలతను కలిగి ఉంటారు. స్వామి వివేకానంద వంటివారు ఈ కోవలోకి వస్తారు.
బుద్ధుడు, వర్ధమాన మహావీరుడు, కబీర్ దాస్, పండిత రవిదాస్, గురునానక్ వంటి మహానుభావులు వారి బోధనల ద్వారా ఎంతో ఆధ్యాత్మిక ప్రగతిని సాధించారు. ప్రత్యక్షంగా అనుభూతి చెందిందే సత్యం అన్నాడు బుద్ధుడు. అహింస, సత్యం మనుషుల జీవితాలను ఆనందమయం చేస్తాయన్నాడు వర్ధమాన మహావీరుడు. అంతర్గత శుద్ధి లేని హృదయం సకల దుర్గుణాలతో నిండి ఉంటుందని రవిదాస్ ప్రబోధించాడు.
ప్రేమ, సోదరభావం, సమానత్వం, ఆధ్యాత్మిక భావనలు మానవజాతి పురోగతికి దోహదం చేస్తాయన్నాడు గురునానక్. ఇలాగే ఇంకా చాలామంది మహానుభావులు లోకానికి మేలుచేసే బోధనలు చేశారు. వీరంతా మామూలు మనుషుల్లోంచి వచ్చినవారే. కానీ తమ బుద్ధికుశలతతో మానవ జీవితాన్ని కాచివడపోశారు. అందుకే వారి బోధనలు ఎప్పటికీ మనకు దారిదీపాలూ, మార్గదర్శకాలు.
సంస్కృత ధాతువైన బుద్ధి పదానికి సామాన్యంగా తెలివితేటలని అర్థం. ప్రాచీన కాలంలో ఈ తెలివితేటలను జీవన్ముక్తి, ఆధ్యాత్మిక చింతన కోసం వినియోగిస్తే, ఆధునికకాలంలో బతుకుతెరువుకు ఉపయోగిస్తున్నారు. బుద్ధి వక్ర మార్గంలో పడనంతవరకూ మనిషి చిరంజీవి. ఎందుకంటే రజస్తమో గుణాలు ఎప్పుడూ బుద్ధిని తప్పుదారి పట్టించడానికి పూనుకుంటాయి. అందుకే ‘వినాశకాలే విపరీత బుద్ధిః’ అన్నారు పెద్దలు. వెరసి దేశకాలాలకు అతీతంగా మనిషిని నడిపించేది బుద్ధి ఒకటే. అదే మార్గదర్శి.

- సృష్టికి మార్గదర్శకుడు సృష్టి... యాదృచ్ఛికంగా నడిచే ప్రక్రియ కాదు. దానికి ఒక క్రమం ఉంది, నియమం ఉంది, ధర్మం ఉంది. ఆ ధర్మానికి దిశానిర్దేశం చేసే శక్తే శ్రీకృష్ణుడు. ఆయన ద్వాపర యుగ అవతార పురుషుడు మాత్రమే కాదు. కాలం, దేశం, పరిస్థితులను దాటి నిలిచిన పరమసత్యానికి సాకార రూపం. సృష్టి ఎలా సాగాలి, జీవితం ఎలా నడవాలి అనే ప్రశ్నలకు సమాధానంగా నిలిచిన తత్వమే కృష్ణుడు.
- జ్ఞానాయుధం జ్ఞానం మనిషి వికాసానికి మూలాధారం. అది అంధకార మార్గంలో వెలుగులను ప్రకాశింపజేసే దివ్యజ్యోతి. వ్యక్తి ఉనికే ఙ్ఞానం... అంటాడు దక్షిణామూర్తి.
- ఏది హింస? ‘అహింసా పరమోధర్మః’ అన్నారు పెద్దలు. అంటే హింస చేయకుండా ఉండటమే గొప్ప ధర్మమని అర్థం. హింస అంటే శారీరకంగా బాధించడమో, చంపడమో అని మాత్రమే అర్థంకాదు. ఎదుటివారిని మానసికంగా క్షోభకు గురిచేసినా అది హింస కిందకే వస్తుంది. శరీరానికి బాణాలు గుచ్చుకున్నా ఉపాయంతో తీసి వేయవచ్చు, ఆ గాయాలు మందులతో కొంత కాలానికి మానతాయి.
- సహనం ఒక వరం ఆధ్యాత్మిక లక్ష్యాలను చేరుకోవాలన్నా, భౌతికమైన కోరికలు తీర్చుకోవాలన్నా మనిషికి సహనం తప్పనిసరి. నిర్దిష్ట లక్ష్యాలను సాధించడానికి భావోద్వేగాలను అదుపులో ఉంచుకుంటూ, నిరంతరం అంకితభావంతో చేసే కృషే- సహనం. అవాంతరాలను ఆత్మస్థైర్యంతో, పట్టుదలతో ఎదుర్కొని; పొగడ్తలకు, విమర్శలకు ప్రాధాన్యమివ్వకుండా చేసే యజ్ఞం అది.
- కాలం విలువ కాలం ప్రతీ క్షణం ఓ ఇంద్రజాలం. కళ్లముందే మాయమైపోతుంటుంది మరి. కదిలే కాలం అనుకోని విజయాలను, వైభవాలను ఇచ్చినట్లే అప్పుడప్పుడు ఓటమినీ చవిచూపిస్తుంది.

The weedier the blade of grass is, the sharper their intellect is. Such people will understand the matter immediately. Decisions are made quickly. Anyone who is wise has such intelligence. People like Swami Vivekananda fall into this category.
Great personalities like Buddha, Vardhamana Mahavira, Kabir Das, Pandita Ravidas, Guru Nanak achieved great spiritual progress through their teachings. Buddha said that the truth is directly experienced. Vardhamana Mahavir says that non-violence and truth make people's lives happy. Ravidas preached that a heart without internal purification is full of all vices.
Guru Nanak says that love, brotherhood, equality and spiritual concepts contribute to the progress of mankind. Similarly, many great people have given teachings that benefit the world. They all came from ordinary people. But with their ingenuity they spoiled human life. That is why their teachings are our guides and guides forever.
