CM Chandrababu: Legitimacy for Amaravati

Today, Amaravati: Chief Minister Chandrababu clarified that the Center will introduce a bill to give legitimacy to the capital Amaravati in the budget sessions of the Parliament. The TDP MPs were advised to constantly consult the Union Ministers and senior officials of the respective departments in this regard. He wants to get funds from the center by constantly thinking about what more can be achieved for the state. Special package for Uttarandhra-Rayalaseema areas, construction of irrigation projects with Purvodaya scheme, Polavaram-Nallamalasagar should be mentioned as priorities. All the MPs are advised to follow the principle of alliance.

A meeting of the Telugu Desam Parliamentary Party was held under the chairmanship of Chandrababu at Undavalli residence on Sunday. Chandrababu and Minister Lokesh gave directions to the MPs on the issues to be mentioned in the budget meetings of the Parliament and the strategies to be followed. South Coast Railway Zone, Implementation of Partition Guarantees, Education, Medical, National Highways were mainly discussed. It has been decided to invite Jana Sena and BJP MPs to the upcoming parliamentary party meetings. "The TDP will maintain the unity of the alliance whenever it is in an alliance. Don't compromise alliance goals. Your focus should be on central schemes. Chandrababu stated that they should be achieved. 

Construction of NHs and railway lines should proceed fast

Chandrababu suggested that the construction works of railway lines and national highways worth about Rs.1 lakh crore are going on in the state and MPs should show initiative to complete them faster. Chandrababu said that all the irrigation projects should be included in Purvodaya scheme and completed. In the interests of the state, it is suggested to act secularly in the matter of irrigation projects. We have already given the latest estimates of Polavaram to the Centre. Construction, R&R of the project should be completed. Rs. 12 thousand crores still need to come for this. Polavaram should be completed within Godavari Pushkaram. There is no need for disputes with neighboring states over water projects constructed in the state. If issues like Nallamalasagar are mentioned in Parliament, the arguments of the state should be heard strongly,'' he said. "A four-lane railway track should be laid from Ichchapuram to Tada. Railway funds should be fully utilized. The Railway Department is ready to undertake flyovers and ROBs on a large scale. Identify the needs in your constituencies and get funds," said Chandrababu. 

Compulsory attendance at party central office: Nara Lokesh

Minister Lokesh suggested that every MP should devote time to the party and compulsorily come to party central office and be available to the people. After Chandrababu spoke, Lokesh had a separate meeting with the MPs. Increase awareness about NDA programs at national level along with state level issues. If the opposition criticizes the BJP in the Parliament, we should give a befitting reply to them," said Lokesh.
