ప్రవాసంలో తలదాచుకున్న యువరాజు రెజా పహ్లావి (గతంలో అమెరికా మద్దతుతో దేశాన్ని పాలించిన ‘షా’ వారసుడు) ఇచ్చిన పిలుపు మేరకు ఇరాన్లో ఆందోళనకారులు పెద్ద ఎత్తున రోడ్లపైకి వచ్చి నిరసనలు చేపట్టారు. గురువారం మొదలైన ఈ నిరసనలు శుక్రవారం ఉదయం వరకు కొనసాగాయి. ఇంటర్నెట్, టెలిఫోన్ సేవలను ప్రభుత్వం నిలిపేసినప్పటికీ ఆందోళనకారులు పెద్ద ఎత్తున పాల్గొనడం గమనార్హం. ఈ నేపథ్యంలోనే స్పందించిన సుప్రీం లీడర్.. యువత ఏకతాటిపై ఉండాలని, దేశం ఐకమత్యంగా ఉన్నప్పుడే ఎలాంటి శత్రువునైనా ఎదుర్కోవచ్చన్నారు.
