ఏలూరు అర్బన్, న్యూస్టుడే: దేశవ్యాప్తంగా రైల్వేస్టేషన్ల ఆధునికీకరణకు కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం అమృత్ భారత్ పథకాన్ని అమలు చేస్తోంది. అందులో భాగంగా 2023 డిసెంబరులో ఏలూరు రైల్వే స్టేషన్ పనులు చేపట్టారు. రెండేళ్లు దాటినా ఇంత వరకు పూర్తి కాలేదు. దీని వల్ల ప్రయాణికులు ఇబ్బందులు ఎదుర్కొంటున్నారు.
ఏలూరు రైల్వే స్టేషన్ నుంచి నిత్యం సగటున 8,761 మంది వరకు ప్రయాణిస్తుంటారు. 61 రైళ్లు ఈ స్టేషన్ మీదుగా రాకపోకలు సాగిస్తుంటాయి. ప్రయాణికుల అవసరాలకు తగ్గట్టు అభివృద్ధి చేసేందుకు కేంద్రం రూ.21.30 కోట్లు విడుదల చేసింది. విజయవాడ సర్కిల్ ఆధ్వర్యంలో చేపట్టిన ఈ పనులు ఏడాదిలో పూర్తి చేస్తామని చెప్పినప్పటికీ ఇప్పటికీ అసంపూర్తిగానే ఉన్నాయి.
అభివృద్ధి ఇలా..
రైల్వేస్టేషన్ లోపల ప్లాట్ఫాంలు నవీకరిస్తారు. బయట సువిశాలమైన స్థలంలో వాహనాల పార్కింగ్ షెడ్లతో పాటు ప్రవేశ ద్వారాన్ని సుందరంగా నిర్మిస్తారు. ప్రయాణికులు వేచి ఉండే విశ్రాంతి గదుల్లో ఆహ్లాదకరమైన వాతావరణం కల్పిస్తారు. ప్లాట్ఫాంల నవీకరణ పనులు దాదాపు పూర్తయ్యాయి. ప్రవేశ ద్వారం అసంపూర్తిగా ఉంది. పార్కింగ్ షెడ్ల నిర్మాణం పూర్తికాలేదు. రెండో విడతలో ఎస్కలేటర్, రైల్వే ఆసుపత్రి, పార్శిల్ కార్యాలయం నిర్మిస్తారు. తొలి విడత పనులు పూర్తయితేనే వీటికి నిధులు వస్తాయి. రైల్వేస్టేషన్ ఇన్ఛార్జి రమేశ్ మాట్లాడుతూ ఫిబ్రవరి నెలాఖరు నాటికి తొలి విడత పనులు పూర్తవుతాయని తెలిపారు.
