శీతాకాలం ప్రభావంతో ఉదయం 10 గంటలు దాటినా చలి వణికిసో్తంది. సాయంత్రం 5గంటల నుంచే వణుకు మొదలవుతోంది. సాధారణ ప్రజలే ప్రస్తుతం చన్నీళ్లతో స్నానం చేయలేని పరిస్థితి. అలాంటిది బాలింతలు, పసికందుల పరిస్థితి మరింత దారుణంగా మారింది. ప్రభుత్వాసుపత్రుల్లో ప్రసవాలవుతున్న పేద బాలింతలు వణికి పోతున్నారు.
- అమలాపురం ఏరియా ఆసుపత్రిలో నెలకు సరాసరి 80 నుంచి 90 వరకు ప్రసవాలు జరుగుతున్నాయి. ప్రసూతి వార్డులో నిత్యం 25 నుంచి 30 మంది చికిత్స పొందుతున్నారు. ప్రసవాల సమయంలో పసికందులకు శస్త్రచికిత్స గదిలో ఉన్న గీజర్ నుంచి కొద్దిగా వేడినీళ్లు తీసుకొచ్చి శుభ్రం చేసి కుటంబ సభ్యులకు అప్పగిస్తున్నారు. మళ్లీ వారు ఇంటికి వెళ్లే వరకు ఆ మాటే ఉండట్లేదు.
- రామచంద్రపురం ఏరియా ఆసుపత్రిలో నెలకు 80 నుంచి 100 వరకు ప్రసవాలు జరుగుతున్నాయి. సోలార్ వ్యవస్థ ద్వారా గీజర్లు పనిచేసేలా ఏర్పాట్లు చేశారు. కానీ వారంలో రెండు రోజులు మాత్రమే పని చేస్తుంది. మిగిలిన రోజుల్లో బాలింతలకు ఇక్కట్లు తప్పట్లేదు.
జిల్లాలో రెండు ఏరియా ఆసుపత్రులు, 9 సీహెచ్సీలు, 53 పీహెచ్సీలు ఉన్నాయి. ఏరియా ఆసుపత్రుల్లో రోజుకు 5 నుంచి 6 వరకు ప్రసవాలు జరుగుతున్నాయి. సాధారణ ప్రసవమైనా, శస్త్రచికిత్స చేసినా కనీసం మూడు రోజులు బాలింతల వార్డులో ఉంచుతారు. వీరికి సాధారణ అవసరాలకు కూడా వేడినీరు అందుబాటులో ఉంచాల్సి ఉంటుంది. రెండుచోట్ల వేడి నీళ్లు అందించేందుకు ఏర్పాటు చేసిన గీజర్లు పాడయ్యాయి. సీహెచ్సీల్లో కూడా ఇదే పరిస్థితి.

ఏరియా ఆసుపత్రుల్లో ప్రసవాలు జరుగుతున్న బాలింతల అవసరాలకు వేడినీరు కోసం ఆసుపత్రి బయట ఉన్న హోటళ్లు, ఇతర చోట్ల నుంచి నగదు వెచ్చించి కొనుగోలు చేస్తున్నారు. దీనికోసం రోజుకు రూ.50 నుంచి రూ.100 వరకు ఖర్చు చేస్తున్నారు. అది ఖర్చు చేయలేని వారు చన్నీళ్లతోనే సరిపెట్టుకుంటున్నారు.
మరమ్మతులు చేయిస్తాం..
బాలింతల వార్డుకు సంబంధించి వేడినీళ్లు అందించే యంత్రాలకు మరమ్మతులు చేయిస్తాం. ఇక్కడ చికిత్స పొందుతున్న వారికి ఏవిధమైన ఇబ్బందులు లేకుండా చర్యలు తీసుకుంటాం.
