గుంటూరు: మాతృ భాషపై మమకారం పెంచేలా... తెలుగు వైభవం చాటిచెప్పిన మహనీయులను గుర్తుకు తెచ్చుకునేలా.. మన సంస్కృతి, సంప్రదాయాలకు అద్దం పట్టేలా.. గుంటూరులో మూడో ప్రపంచ తెలుగు మహాసభలు అట్టహాసంగా జరుగుతున్నాయి. ఆంధ్ర సారస్వత పరిషత్తు ఆధ్వర్యంలో గుంటూరు శివారులోని సత్యసాయి ఆధ్యాత్మిక నగరిలో ఏర్పాటు చేసిన మహాసభలకు ఒడిశా గవర్నర్ కంభంపాటి హరిబాబు, ఏపీ అసెంబ్లీ స్పీకర్ చింతకాయల అయ్యన్నపాత్రుడు, హైకోర్టు విశ్రాంత న్యాయమూర్తి జస్టిస్ ఆకుల శేషసాయి, మాజీ ఎంపీ యార్లగడ్డ లక్ష్మీప్రసాద్, టి.డి.జనార్ధన్, జస్టిస్ మానవేంద్ర రాయ్, తమిళనాడు నేత గోపీనాథ్ తదితరులు హాజరయ్యారు. వివిధ ప్రాంతాల నుంచి విచ్చేసిన అతిథులకు ఆంధ్ర సారస్వత పరిషత్తు అధ్యక్షుడు గజల్ శ్రీనివాస్ స్వాగతం పలికారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా పలువురు వక్తలు మాట్లాడుతూ.. తెలుగు భాష గొప్పతనాన్ని వివరించారు.
పిల్లలకు మాతృభాషను దూరం చేయొద్దు: జస్టిస్ ఆకుల శేషసాయి
‘‘సందేశం ఇవ్వడానికి ఇక్కడికి రాలేదు.. నాలుగు అమ్మ మాటలు వినటానికి వచ్చా. మాతృభాషను విస్మరిస్తే ఆ జాతి మనుగడ కష్టం. అమ్మను, అమ్మ భాషని గౌరవించే వాళ్లు ఎప్పటికీ తప్పు చేయరు. పిల్లలను మాతృభాషకు దూరం చేయొద్దు. అమ్మ భాషను భావితరాలకు అందించాలి’’ అని హైకోర్టు విశ్రాంత న్యాయమూర్తి జస్టిస్ ఆకుల శేషసాయి అన్నారు.
తెలుగు భాష కోసం ఎన్టీఆర్ ఎంతో కృషి చేశారు: టి.డి.జనార్థన్
‘‘చాలామంది ఇతర దేశాల్లో తెలుగు భాష కోసం సంఘాల నడుపుతున్నారు. అలాంటి అభిమానులంతా ఈ మహాసభలకు హాజరయ్యారు. ప్రపంచంలో తెలుగువారు లేని దేశం లేదు. తెలుగువారి కోసం, తెలుగు భాష కోసం ఎన్టీఆర్ ఎంతో కృషి చేశారు. ఆయన చేసిన కృషిని సీఎం చంద్రబాబు కొనసాగిస్తున్నారు. మనమంతా అమ్మ భాష అభివృద్ధికి కృషి చేయాలి. తెలుగు మహాసభల లాంటి కార్యక్రమాల ద్వారా ప్రపంచంలో తెలుగు భాష ఔన్నత్యాన్ని ఘనంగా చాటాలి. సినిమాల్లో కూడా తెలుగు భాష అభివృద్ధికి ఎన్టీఆర్ ఎంతగానో కృషి చేశారు. అనేక దేశాల్లో తెలుగును రెండో భాషగా బోధిస్తున్నారు. మాతృభాష మనుగడలో ఉన్నప్పుడు మాత్రమే మన ఉనికి ఉంటుంది. పాఠశాలల్లో పిల్లలు ఆంగ్లం మాట్లాడినప్పటికీ ఇంట్లో మాత్రం తెలుగు మాట్లాడేలా చూడాలి’’ అని తెదేపా నేత టి.డి.జనార్థన్ అన్నారు.
తెలుగు భాష పరిరక్షణకు ప్రత్యేక చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలి: జస్టిస్ మానవేంద్ర రాయ్
‘‘తెలుగు మహాసభలకు హాజరు కావడానికి తొలుత సంకోచించా. ఉద్యోగరీత్యా ఆంగ్లంతో ఎక్కువ సంబంధం ఉంటుంది. అందువల్ల తెలుగులో మాట్లాడడం తక్కువగా ఉంటుంది. బ్రిటిష్ వారి పరిపాలన వల్ల చట్టాలన్నీ ఆంగ్లంలోనే ఉన్నాయి. వైద్య విద్య కూడా ఆంగ్లంలోనే కొనసాగుతోంది. బ్రిటిష్ వారు వెళ్లిపోయినా.. వారి భాషను మనం కొనసాగించడం వల్ల ఆంగ్లం మనం జీవితంలో భాగమైంది. ఆంగ్ల భాష ప్రభావం నుంచి బయటపడేందుకు ప్రత్యేక దృష్టి పెట్టాలి. గుజరాత్లో ప్రభుత్వ పరమైన అన్ని అంశాలు గుజరాతీ భాషలోనే ఉంటాయి. ప్రభుత్వ పరమైన విధానాల వల్ల మార్పు సాధ్యం. మాతృభాషను సంరక్షించుకోవాలనే ఉద్దేశంతో ఈ తెలుగు మహాసభలు నిర్వహించడం అభినందనీయం. కేవలం ఈ మూడు రోజులు మహాసభల ద్వారానే కాకుండా భాషా పరిరక్షణకు ప్రత్యేక చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలి.
తమిళనాడులో తమిళ భాషకు అత్యంత ప్రాధాన్యత ఇస్తారు: గోపీనాథ్
‘‘తెలుగుకు సంబంధించిన ఏ కార్యక్రమంలోనైనా పాల్గొనేందుకు ప్రయత్నిస్తాను. తమిళనాడులో తమిళ భాషకు అత్యంత ప్రాధాన్యత ఇస్తారు. నేను ప్రాతినిథ్యం వహించే ప్రాంతం కర్ణాటక, ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ సరిహద్దు ప్రాంతం. అప్పట్లో రాష్ట్ర విభజన సందర్భంగా ఎంతో ఇబ్బంది పడ్డాం. తెలుగు వారైనా మా పిల్లలకు తమిళంలో పరీక్షలు పెట్టారు. ఏ పార్టీ కూడా తమిళనాడులోని తెలుగువారి సమస్యను పట్టించుకోలేదు. దీంతో అనేక ఇబ్బందులు ఎదుర్కొన్నాం. తమిళనాడులో 40 మంది పార్లమెంట్ సభ్యులు ఉంటే నేనొక్కడినే తెలుగులో ప్రమాణ స్వీకారం చేస్తాను. తమిళనాడు నేతలు తమిళంలోనే ప్రసంగాలు చేస్తుంటారు. ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్, తెలంగాణ నుంచి వచ్చిన ఎంపీలు ఎవరూ కూడా తెలుగులో మాట్లాడకపోవడం బాధాకరం’’ అని తమిళనాడు నేత గోపీనాథ్ అన్నారు.

The superiority of the Telugu language in the world should be proudly displayed through programs like Telugu Mahasabhas. NTR has worked so hard for the development of Telugu language in movies as well. Telugu is taught as a second language in many countries. Our existence exists only when the mother tongue survives. Even if children speak English in schools, they should be made to speak Telugu at home," said TEDP leader T.D. Janarthan.

"First hesitate to attend Telugu Mahasabhas. Employability has more to do with English. Hence speaking in Telugu is less. Due to the British rule, all the laws were in English. Medical education also continues in English. Even though the British left.. English became a part of our life because we continued their language. Special attention should be given to get rid of the influence of English language. All government matters in Gujarat are in Gujarati language. Change is possible because of government policies. It is commendable that these Telugu Mahasabhas are organized with the intention of preserving the mother tongue. Special steps should be taken to preserve the language not just through these three days.
Tamil language is given utmost priority in Tamil Nadu: Gopinath
''I will try to participate in any program related to Telugu. In Tamil Nadu, Tamil language is highly preferred. The region I represent is the border region of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. At that time, we had a lot of trouble during the partition of the state. Our children were given exams in Tamil even though they were Telugu. No party cares about the problem of Telugu people in Tamil Nadu. We faced many difficulties due to this. If there are 40 members of Parliament in Tamil Nadu, I alone will take oath in Telugu.
