సంవత్సరం మారే క్షణం గడియారంలో కాదు, మన లోపల జరుగుతుంది. చివరి అర్ధరాత్రి, ఆకాశంలో బాణాసంచా వెలుగులు విరుస్తుంటే, మనసులో మాత్రం ఒక మౌనదీపం వెలుగుతుంది. అది వెలుగూ కాదు, చీకటీ కాదు. అనుభూతి. జీవితం తనను తాను చూసుకునే క్షణం.
పాత సంవత్సరం మనకు కేవలం రోజులు ఇవ్వలేదు. అది మనల్ని మనమే ఎదుర్కొనేలా చేసింది. నవ్వించింది, కన్నీరు పెట్టించింది. కొన్ని సందర్భాల్లో దేవుణ్ని నిందించాం. కొన్ని సందర్భాల్లో ఆయన్నే శరణు వేడాం. అయినా జీవితం నడిచింది. శ్వాస ఆగలేదు. ఆశ చావలేదు. అదే పాత సంవత్సరం మనకిచ్చిన అతిపెద్ద వరం. వీడ్కోలు అనేది విస్మరణ కాదు. విడిచిపెట్టడం. మనసులో పేరుకుపోయిన బాధలు, అపార్థాలు, అపజయాల బరువును మెల్లగా దించేయడం. గతించిన ఏడాదికి మనం చెప్పాల్సింది ఒకటే. ధన్యవాదాలు!
కొత్త సంవత్సరం తలుపు తట్టదు. ఆకాశం నుంచి దిగిరాదు. అది మెల్లగా మన హృదయంలోకి అడుగుపెడుతుంది... ఖాళీ కాగితంలా. దానిపై ఏమి రాయాలో మనమే నిర్ణయించుకోవాలి. కొత్త సంవత్సరం అంటే కొత్త దుస్తులు ధరించడం కాదు. కొత్త మాటలు చెప్పడం కాదు. కొత్త దృష్టితో జీవితాన్ని చూడటం. అదే మనలో జరిగే నిజమైన మార్పు. ఉదయం లేచి శ్వాస తీసుకుంటున్నామంటే, అదొక ఆశీర్వాదం! సాయంత్రం మనసు ప్రశాంతంగా ఉంటే, అదొక సాధన. రోజూ సాటివారి పట్ల కాస్త మానవత్వం చూపగలిగితే... అదే ఆధ్యాత్మికత. కొత్త సంవత్సరంలో మనం పెద్ద సంకల్పాలు చెప్పుకోకపోయినా ఫరవాలేదు. రోజుకు ఒక మంచి ఆలోచన చాలు. మనసుకు నచ్చని దారిలో నడవకుండా ఆగే నిజాయతీ చాలు.
మనలో మనం ఒక మాట చెప్పుకొందాం... ‘ఇప్పటివరకు ఎలా ఉన్నానో కాదు, ఇకపై ఎలా ఉండాలో నేనే నిర్ణయిస్తాను’. అదే కొత్త సంవత్సరానికి హృదయపూర్వక ఆహ్వానం. మన జీవితపుస్తకమూ సంవత్సరం లాంటిదే. కొన్ని పుటలు వెలుతురుతో నిండితే, మరికొన్ని చీకటితో మసకబారినవిగా ఉంటాయి. ఈ రెండింటి మధ్యే అవగాహన పుడుతుంది. పాత సంవత్సరం మనల్ని కొన్ని నిజాల ముందు నిలబెట్టింది. మన బలహీనతలు, భయాలు, లోపలి ఖాళీలు... వాటిని అంగీకరించి, ముందుకు నడవాలి. ప్రతి గాయం ఒక జ్ఞాపకం, ప్రతి ఓటమి ఒక మౌనపాఠం. ఇవన్నీ లేకపోతే మన ప్రయాణం ఉపరితలంలోనే ఉండిపోయేది. అందుకే పాత సంవత్సరానికి కన్నీళ్లతో కాదు, అవగాహనతో వీడ్కోలు పలకాలి.
ఆనందాన్నిస్తాననో, బాధల్లేకుండా చూస్తాననో కొత్త సంవత్సరం మనకేమీ మాటివ్వదు. కానీ చైతన్యంగా జీవించే అవకాశం మాత్రం ఇస్తుంది. ప్రతి క్షణాన్నీ యాంత్రికంగా కాకుండా, అనుభూతితో జీవించే అవకాశం. మాటలు తక్కువైనా మన మౌనం లోతుగా ఉండే అవకాశం. మన ప్రార్థనలు పదాలతో కాకుండా, ప్రవర్తనతో చేసే అవకాశం. ఆ అవకాశం చేతిలో పడినప్పుడు దాన్ని గట్టిగా పట్టుకోవడమే కొత్త సంవత్సరానికిచ్చే నిజమైన స్వాగతం!

- గురుబ్రహ్మ... భౌతిక ప్రపంచంలో వినోద, విహారాలతో సంతృప్తి చెందుతున్నంతవరకు ఆధ్యాత్మిక లోకంలో విహరించాలనే ఆలోచన రాదు. ప్రాపంచిక సుఖాలే శాశ్వతమన్న భ్రమలో ఉండి దారితెన్నులు తెలియని వారికి భగవత్సన్నిధికి దిశానిర్దేశం చేసే వ్యక్తి గురువు.
- సృష్టికి మార్గదర్శకుడు సృష్టి... యాదృచ్ఛికంగా నడిచే ప్రక్రియ కాదు. దానికి ఒక క్రమం ఉంది, నియమం ఉంది, ధర్మం ఉంది. ఆ ధర్మానికి దిశానిర్దేశం చేసే శక్తే శ్రీకృష్ణుడు. ఆయన ద్వాపర యుగ అవతార పురుషుడు మాత్రమే కాదు. కాలం, దేశం, పరిస్థితులను దాటి నిలిచిన పరమసత్యానికి సాకార రూపం. సృష్టి ఎలా సాగాలి, జీవితం ఎలా నడవాలి అనే ప్రశ్నలకు సమాధానంగా నిలిచిన తత్వమే కృష్ణుడు.
- జ్ఞానాయుధం జ్ఞానం మనిషి వికాసానికి మూలాధారం. అది అంధకార మార్గంలో వెలుగులను ప్రకాశింపజేసే దివ్యజ్యోతి. వ్యక్తి ఉనికే ఙ్ఞానం... అంటాడు దక్షిణామూర్తి.
- ఏది హింస? ‘అహింసా పరమోధర్మః’ అన్నారు పెద్దలు. అంటే హింస చేయకుండా ఉండటమే గొప్ప ధర్మమని అర్థం. హింస అంటే శారీరకంగా బాధించడమో, చంపడమో అని మాత్రమే అర్థంకాదు. ఎదుటివారిని మానసికంగా క్షోభకు గురిచేసినా అది హింస కిందకే వస్తుంది. శరీరానికి బాణాలు గుచ్చుకున్నా ఉపాయంతో తీసి వేయవచ్చు, ఆ గాయాలు మందులతో కొంత కాలానికి మానతాయి.
- సహనం ఒక వరం ఆధ్యాత్మిక లక్ష్యాలను చేరుకోవాలన్నా, భౌతికమైన కోరికలు తీర్చుకోవాలన్నా మనిషికి సహనం తప్పనిసరి. నిర్దిష్ట లక్ష్యాలను సాధించడానికి భావోద్వేగాలను అదుపులో ఉంచుకుంటూ, నిరంతరం అంకితభావంతో చేసే కృషే- సహనం. అవాంతరాలను ఆత్మస్థైర్యంతో, పట్టుదలతో ఎదుర్కొని; పొగడ్తలకు, విమర్శలకు ప్రాధాన్యమివ్వకుండా చేసే యజ్ఞం అది.
- కాలం విలువ కాలం ప్రతీ క్షణం ఓ ఇంద్రజాలం. కళ్లముందే మాయమైపోతుంటుంది మరి. కదిలే కాలం అనుకోని విజయాలను, వైభవాలను ఇచ్చినట్లే అప్పుడప్పుడు ఓటమినీ చవిచూపిస్తుంది.
