గుజరాత్ రాష్ట్రంలోని నర్మదా నది తీరంలో ప్రముఖ స్వాతంత్య్ర సమర యోధుడు సర్దార్ వల్లభాయ్పటేల్ విగ్రహాన్ని ఏర్పాటుచేసిన ప్రాంతాన్ని గత ఏడేళ్లలో ఏక్తానగర్గా గుర్తించి అభివృద్ధి చేశారు. పచ్చదనం, జీవవైవిధ్యంతో పర్యాటక స్వర్గధామంగా తీర్చిదిద్దారు. 182 మీటర్ల (597 అడుగులు) ఈ మహారూపం ప్రపంచంలోనే అత్యంత ఎత్తైన విగ్రహంగా గుర్తింపు పొందింది. 2018 అక్టోబరు 31న ప్రధాని నరేంద్రమోదీ దీన్ని ప్రారంభించిన విషయం తెలిసిందే.
ఖల్వానీ, జర్వాణి ఎకోటూరిజం భలే..
నర్మదా నదిపై నిర్మించిన సర్దార్ సరోవర్ డ్యామ్ పరిసరాల్లో ఖల్వానీ ఎకో టూరిజం ఉంది. ట్రీహౌస్లు, క్యాంప్ ఫైర్లు, యాంపి థియేటర్, చెట్ల మధ్య నడిచేందుకు అనువుగా అటవీబాటలు ఆకర్షణగా మలిచారు. 14 కిలోమీటర్ల పొడవుతో 3 గంటల పాటు ఉండే సైక్లింగ్ టూర్ మరో ఆకర్షణ. 100 రకాల సీతాకోకచిలుకలతో బటర్ఫ్లై పార్కు ఆకట్టుకుంటోంది.
నర్మదా నదికి సమీపంలో ఉన్న చిన్న గ్రామం జర్వాణి. ఇది శూల్పనేశ్వర్ వన్యప్రాణుల అభయారణ్యంలో భాగం. ఇక్కడ వృక్షజాలం, జంతుజాలం పర్యాటకులను కనువిందు చేస్తున్నాయి. అడవిలో వైల్డ్ ట్రెక్కింగ్కు అవకాశం ఉంది. హెర్బల్ స్టీమ్ బాత్, థెరప్యూటిక్ మసాజ్కు పర్యాటకులు క్యూ కడుతుంటారు. సర్దార్ సరోవర్ ఆనకట్ట, పంచములి సరస్సు ఆకట్టుకుంటాయి.
మేజ్ గార్డెన్, మియావాకీ ఫారెస్ట్..
మూడు ఎకరాల్లో విస్తరించి ఉంది మేజ్ గార్డెన్ (చిట్టడవి తోట). కేవలం ఎనిమిది నెలల కాలంలో దీన్ని అభివృద్ధి చేశారు. కెవాడియా వద్ద ప్రత్యేక ఆకారంలో ఇది నిర్మితమైంది. ఇందులో 1.80 లక్షల మొక్కలు ఉండగా.. ఆరెంజ్ జెమిన్, మధు కామిని, గ్లోరీ బోవర్, మెహందీ వంటి రకాలు ప్రత్యేకం. ఒకప్పుడు శిథిలాల డంపింగ్ ప్రదేశంగా ఉన్న ఇది, పచ్చదనానికి చిరునామాగా మారింది. పువ్వులు, కలప, పండ్ల తోటలతో మియావాకీ ఫారెస్టు ఆకట్టుకుంటోంది. హెర్బల్గార్డెన్, బటర్ఫ్లై గార్డెన్, కాక్టస్ గార్డెన్, ది వ్యాలీ ఆఫ్ ఫ్లవర్స్ (భారత్ వాన్), యూనిటీ గ్లో గార్డెన్, చిల్డ్రన్ న్యూట్రిషన్ పార్కు, జంగిల్ సఫారీ.. ఇలా అనేక థీమ్ పార్కులతో కట్టిపడేస్తుండటం ఇక్కడి ప్రత్యేకత.
ప్రత్యేకం.. వామన వృక్ష వాటిక
ఏక్తానగర్లో ఏక్తానర్సరీ పక్కనే ఉంటుంది వామన వృక్ష వాటిక. ఈ తోటలో 450కంటే ఎక్కువ జాతులకు చెందిన వెయ్యికి పైగా బోన్సాయ్ మొక్కలు ఉన్నాయి. వీటిని ఆరు విభిన్న గ్యాలరీల్లో ప్రదర్శిస్తున్నారు. మామే, షోహిన్, చు, డై వంటి అనేక రకాలు ఇక్కడి ప్రత్యేకత. అరచేతిలో ఇమిడిపోయే వృక్షాలూ ఉన్నాయి. ఇందులోనే జెన్ గార్డెన్స్, చిన్న జలపాతాలు, కొలనులు ఉన్నాయి.
పర్యావరణానికి పెద్దపీట
ఏక్తానగర్లో బైకులు, కార్లు, బస్సులు అన్నీ ఎలక్ట్రిక్ వాహనాలే. ప్రైవేటు వాహనాల్లో ఏక్తానగర్ వరకు వెళితే అక్కడి నుంచి పర్యాటక ప్రదేశాలకు ఉచితంగా ఎలక్ట్రిక్ బస్సుల్లో ప్రయాణించవచ్చు. ఏక్తానగర్ అభివృధ్ధిని గుజరాత్ ప్రభుత్వం నియమించిన యంత్రాంగం పర్యవేక్షిస్తోంది. పర్యావరణ హితమైన పర్యాటకాభివృద్ధికి ప్రాధాన్యం ఇస్తున్నారు. ఏటా 5 లక్షల మొక్కలు నాటుతూ పర్యావరణాన్ని పరిరక్షిస్తున్నారు.

Narmada River in Gujarat State The area where the statue of freedom fighter Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is erected has been identified as Ektanagar and developed in the last seven years.
