అమరావతి: ఉమ్మడి తూర్పు, పశ్చిమగోదావరి జిల్లాల పరిధిలో తాగునీటి పథకానికి ‘అమరజీవి జలధార’ పేరును ఖరారు చేసినట్టు ఉప ముఖ్యమంత్రి పవన్ కల్యాణ్ వెల్లడించారు. తెలుగు వారికి ప్రత్యేక రాష్ట్రం కోసం ప్రాణత్యాగం చేసిన పొట్టి శ్రీరాములు పేరును అందరూ తలచుకొనేలా కూటమి ప్రభుత్వం ఈ నిర్ణయం తీసుకుందన్నారు. గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాల్లో తాగునీటి సరఫరాకు ఉద్దేశించిన జల్జీవన్ మిషన్ వాటర్ గ్రిడ్ పథకాన్ని రాష్ట్రంలో అమరజీవి జలధార అని వ్యవహరించనున్నట్టు తెలిపారు. ఈ పథకానికి సంబంధించిన పోస్టర్ను డిప్యూటీ సీఎం విడుదల చేశారు.
ఈ ప్రాజెక్టుకు సంబంధించిన పనులను శనివారం నిడదవోలు నియోజకవర్గం పెరవలి గ్రామంలో పవన్ శంకుస్థాపన చేయనున్నారు. రాష్ట్ర వ్యాప్తంగా మొత్తం 5 ఉమ్మడి జిల్లాల పరిధిలో 5 ప్రాజెక్టులను ఈ పథకంలో భాగంగా చేపడుతున్నారు. ఉమ్మడి ప్రకాశం, చిత్తూరు, పల్నాడు, తూర్పు గోదావరి, పశ్చిమగోదావరి జిల్లాల పరిధిలోని ఈ పథకం కోసం రూ.7,910 కోట్లు ఖర్చు చేయనున్నారు. రాబోయే 30 ఏళ్లలో 1.21 కోట్ల మంది దాహార్తి తీర్చడమే లక్ష్యంగా పెట్టుకున్నారు.

Amaravati: Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan revealed that the name 'Amarajeevi Jaladhara' has been finalized for the drinking water scheme under the combined East and West Godavari districts. He said that the coalition government has taken this decision so that everyone remembers the name of Potti Sri Ramulu who sacrificed his life for a separate state for the Telugu people. He said that the Jaljeevan Mission water grid scheme intended for the supply of drinking water in rural areas will be treated as Amarajeevi Jaladhara in the state. Pawan will lay the foundation stone for the works related to this project on Saturday in Peravali village of Nidadavolu constituency. As a part of this scheme, 5 projects are being implemented in all 5 joint districts across the state. An amount of Rs.7,910 crore will be spent for this scheme under the jurisdiction of the joint Prakasam, Chittoor, Palnadu, East Godavari and West Godavari districts. 1.21 crore people aim to end hunger in next 30 years.
