Cybercrime: గంటకు రూ.8.54 లక్షల దోపిడీ.. క్షణాల్లో వందల ఖాతాల్లోకి సొత్తు మళ్లింపు

ఈనాడు, అమరావతి: సైబర్ నేరగాళ్లు రెచ్చిపోతున్నారు. ఏపీలో సగటున ప్రతి గంటకు రూ.8.54 లక్షలు దోచుకుంటున్నారు. ఈ ఏడాది జనవరి నుంచి ఇప్పటివరకూ రూ.751.40 కోట్లు కొల్లగొట్టారు. డిజిటల్ అరెస్టులు, క్రెడిట్, డెబిట్ కార్డులు, ఓటీపీ, ఆన్లైన్ పెట్టుబడులు, ట్రేడింగ్, క్రిప్టోకరెన్సీ లావాదేవీలు, ఈ-కేవైసీ, వర్క్ ఫ్రమ్ హోమ్ ఉద్యోగాల పేరిట మోసాలు, న్యూడ్ వీడియోకాల్స్తో ఉచ్చులోకి లాగటం.. ఇలా ఒకటేమిటి ఎప్పటికప్పుడు కొత్త పద్ధతులతో నేరాలకు పాల్పడుతున్నారు. కేంద్ర హోంశాఖ పరిధిలోని నేషనల్ సైబర్క్రైమ్ రిపోర్టింగ్ పోర్టల్లో ఈ ఏడాదిలో మన రాష్ట్రం నుంచి నమోదైన ఫిర్యాదుల ఆధారంగా ఈ గణాంకాలు వెలుగులోకి వచ్చాయి. జనవరి నుంచి ఇప్పటివరకూ ఈ పోర్టల్కు ఏపీ నుంచి 57,673 ఫిర్యాదులు అందగా. ఆయా ఘటనల్లో బాధితులు రోజుకు సగటున రూ.2.05 కోట్లు పోగొట్టుకుంటున్నట్లు వెల్లడైంది. ఎన్సీఆర్పీకి అందిన ఫిర్యాదుల్లో ఒకే తరహాలో ఉన్నవాటన్నింటినీ వర్గీకరించి పోలీసులు 1,771 కేసులు నమోదు చేశారు.
ఒక్క శాతమైనా రికవరీ కావట్లేదు..
- ఈ ఏడాదిలో జరిగిన నేరాల్లో సైబర్ నేరగాళ్లు బాధితుల నుంచి రూ.751.40 కోట్లు కొల్లగొడితే అందులో 2.21 కోట్లు (0.29%) మాత్రమే అధికారులు వెనక్కి తీసుకురాగలిగారు. బాధితులు పోగొట్టుకొంటున్న దాంట్లో కనీసం ఒక్క శాతమైనా రికవరీ కావట్లేదు. మరో రూ.89 కోట్లు (11.84%) నేరగాళ్లపరం కాకుండా బ్యాంకు ఖాతాల్లో స్తంభింపజేయగలిగారు.
- బాధితుడి బ్యాంకుఖాతా నుంచి తాము చెప్పిన ఖాతాల్లోకి సొమ్ము జమైన వెంటనే సైబర్ నేరగాళ్లు క్షణాల వ్యవధిలో దాన్ని వందల ఖాతాల్లోకి మళ్లించేస్తున్నారు. ఈ మ్యూల్ ఖాతాల సేకరణ కోసం కమీషన్లు ఇచ్చి మరీ ప్రత్యేక ముఠాలనే నడిపిస్తున్నారు. దీంతో సొత్తు రికవరీ దర్యాప్తు సంస్థలకు కష్టమవుతోంది.
- ఈ సైబర్ నేరాల ముఠాల నిర్వాహకులు విదేశాల్లో ఉంటూ తమ తరఫున ఆపరేటర్లను ఇక్కడ పెట్టుకుని దోపిడీకి పాల్పడుతున్నారు. దీంతో కేసుల ఛేదన సవాల్గా మారుతోంది.
- నేరగాళ్లు వేర్వేరు దేశాలు, వివిధ ప్రాంతాల్లో ఉంటూ ఈ మోసాలకు తెగబడుతున్నారు. వారిని పట్టుకోవటం, సొమ్ము రికవరీ చేయటం కోసం ఎంతో శ్రమ పడాల్సి వస్తోంది.
- సైబర్ నేరాల బారిన పడిన మొదటి గంటలోగా (గోల్డెన్ అవర్లో) బాధితులు పోలీసులకు ఫిర్యాదు చేయగలిగితే ఆ సొత్తు నేరగాళ్ల ఖాతాల్లోకి మళ్లిపోకుండా బ్యాంకు వద్దే స్తంభింపజేసేందుకు అవకాశముంటుంది.

Today, Amaravati: Cyber criminals are on the rise. An average of Rs 8.54 lakh is being looted every hour in AP. Rs.751.40 crores have been looted since January this year. Digital arrests, credit, debit cards, OTP, online investments, trading, cryptocurrency transactions, e-KYC, frauds in the name of work from home jobs, ensnaring with nude video calls. These statistics have come to light on the basis of the complaints registered from our state this year in the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Since January till now, this portal has received 57,673 complaints from AP. It has been revealed that the victims lose an average of Rs.2.05 crore per day in those incidents. The police registered 1,771 cases by classifying all the complaints received to the NCRP that were of the same type.

- Criminals are living in different countries and regions and are resorting to these frauds. It takes a lot of effort to catch them and recover the money.
- If the victims can report to the police within the first hour (golden hour) of being affected by cyber crime, there is a chance that the assets will be frozen at the bank instead of going into the criminals' accounts.
