ఈనాడు, హైదరాబాద్: గ్రేటర్ నగరం శివారు మున్సిపాలిటీలు, కార్పొరేషన్లు కలుపుకొని బృహత్ నగరంగా మారింది. 150 వార్డులు కాస్త 300కి పెరిగాయి. దీని వెనక శాస్త్రీయ కసరత్తు జరిగిందని అధికారులు అంటున్నారు.
సమాన ప్రాతినిధ్యం: ప్రతి వార్డులో జనాభా సుమారుగా ఉండేలా పునర్విభజన చేశారు. ఇప్పటివరకు కొన్ని వార్డుల్లో కార్పొరేటర్లు ఎక్కువ జనాభాకు ప్రాతినిధ్యం వహిస్తుండగా, మరికొన్ని తక్కువగా ఉండేవి. ఇప్పుడు సమాన ప్రాతినిధ్యం ఏర్పడింది.
సేవలు మెరుగు:ఒక కాలనీ రెండు డివిజన్లలో ఉండేది. ప్రస్తుతం సహజ సరిహద్దులు అంటే రహదారి, నాలాలు, చెరువుల ఆధారంగా నిర్ధారించారు. ఫలితంగా సేవలు మెరుగుపడతాయి.
ప్రణాళిక సులువు: జనాభా ఆధారిత డివిజన్ల పునర్విభజనతో మౌలిక సదుపాయాల ప్రణాళిక వాస్తవికంగా ఉంటుంది. రహదారి విస్తీర్ణం, నీటి, డ్రైనేజీ సామర్థ్యం, గృహ నిర్మాణ అవసరాలను ముందుగానే అంచనా వేయవచ్చు.
విలీన ప్రాంతాల ఏకీకరణ:జీహెచ్ఎంసీతో సమానంగా విలీన ప్రాంతాలు ఏకరీతి సేవలు పొందుతాయి. ఐటీకారిడార్లు, ఎయిర్పోర్ట్ జోన్లు, ఓఆర్ఆర్ ప్రాంతాల్లో ఏకీకృత అభివృద్ధి సాధ్యం అవుతుంది.

- దమ్మాయిగూడలో ఎక్కువ వార్డులు ఉండేవి. ఇప్పుడు తక్కువ డివిజన్లతో పరిపాలన సౌలభ్యం ఏర్పడుతుంది.
