బెజ్జంకి, న్యూస్టుడే: తెలిసిన వారే కదా అని మధ్యవర్తిత్వం వహించి అప్పులిప్పించిన వ్యాపారి చివరకు రుణదాతల వేధింపులు తాళలేక భార్యతో సహా ఆత్మహత్యకు పాల్పడ్డారు. ఈ విషాదం సిద్దిపేట జిల్లా బెజ్జంకి మండలంలో ఆదివారం చోటుచేసుకుంది. పోలీసుల కథనం ప్రకారం.. దాచారం గ్రామానికి చెందిన వడ్లకొండ శ్రీనివాస్, రేణుక దంపతుల పెద్ద కుమారుడు శ్రీహర్ష(32)కు కరీంనగర్ పరిధిలోని మల్కాపూర్ గ్రామానికి చెందిన రుక్మిణి(25)తో నాలుగేళ్ల క్రితం వివాహమైంది. దంపతులు.. బెజ్జంకిలో అద్దె ఇంట్లో ఉంటూ సొంతంగా దుస్తుల దుకాణం నిర్వహిస్తున్నారు. వీరికి మూడు సంవత్సరాల కుమార్తె హరిప్రియ ఉంది. శ్రీహర్ష మధ్యవర్తిగా ఉంటూ తెలిసిన వారికి దాదాపు రూ.13 లక్షల అప్పులు ఇప్పించారు.
రుణాలు తీసుకున్నవారు కొన్ని నెలలు సక్రమంగానే వడ్డీ చెల్లించినా తర్వాత మానేశారు. అప్పులిచ్చినవారు దుకాణం వద్దకు వచ్చి వారం రోజులుగా గొడవ చేస్తున్నారు. ఊళ్లో పరువు తీస్తామని బెదిరించారు. మనస్తాపంతో ఆదివారం శ్రీహర్ష, భార్య ఇద్దరూ పురుగుమందు తాగి అపస్మారకస్థితికి చేరారు. కుమార్తె హరిప్రియ రసాయనం వాసనకు ఏడుస్తూ వాంతులు చేసుకుంది. గమనించిన ఇంటి యజమాని తలుపులు తీసేందుకు యత్నించి తెరచుకోకపోవడంతో పోలీసులు, కుటుంబసభ్యులకు సమాచారం అందించారు. తర్వాత తలుపులు పగులగొట్టి చూడగా రుక్మిణి మృతి చెంది కనిపించింది. శ్రీహర్షను ఆస్పత్రికి తరలించగా అప్పటికే మృతిచెందినట్లు ధ్రువీకరించారు.
ఐదు పేజీల ఆత్మహత్య లేఖ లభ్యం
ఆత్మహత్యకు ముందు శ్రీహర్ష రాసిన 5 పేజీల లేఖను గదిలో స్వాధీనం చేసుకున్నారు. ‘నమ్మి మీకు డబ్బులిప్పిస్తే చెల్లించకుండా మోసం చేశారు. అప్పులిచ్చిన వారి వేధింపులు మానసికంగా కుంగదీశాయి. ఒక్కడినే చనిపోదాం అనుకున్నా.. ఈ సమాజంలో భర్త లేని మహిళను హేళనగా చూస్తారని భావించి చావైనా బతుకైనా కలిసే అంటూ నిర్ణయం తీసుకున్నాం. తమ్ముడూ.. అమ్మనాన్నలని మంచిగా చూసుకో. మా ఇద్దరినీ ఒకే చితిపై దహనం చేయండి. మా మరణానికి కారణమైన వారిని విడిచిపెట్టొద్దు’ అంటూ ఐదుగురి పేర్లతో లేఖ రాశారు. కేసు నమోదు చేసిన పోలీసులు లేఖలో పేర్కొన్న వారిని అదుపులోకి తీసుకొని విచారిస్తున్నారు.

Bejjanki, Newstoday: The businessman, who was mediated by acquaintances, finally committed suicide along with his wife after being harassed by creditors. This tragedy took place on Sunday in Bejjanki mandal of Siddipet district. According to the police report, the eldest son of Vadlakonda Srinivas and Renuka of Dacharam village Sriharsha (32) got married to Rukmini (25) of Malkapur village under Karimnagar four years ago. The couple lives in a rented house in Bejjanki and runs their own clothing store. They have a three-year-old daughter Haripriya. Sriharsha acted as an intermediary and gave loans of around Rs.13 lakhs to those he knew. Creditors came to the shop and have been arguing for a week. They threatened to disgrace the village. On Sunday both Sriharsha and his wife drank pesticide and became unconscious. Daughter Haripriya cried and vomited after smelling the chemical. When the home owner tried to open the door but it did not open, the police and family members were informed. Later, when the door was broken, Rukmini was found dead. Sriharsha was taken to the hospital where it was confirmed that he had already died. 5-page suicide letter found 'If you trust me and give you money, you have been cheated by not paying. Harassment by creditors is mentally debilitating. Even if we want to die alone.. We thought that in this society, a woman without a husband will be looked down upon, so we decided to meet even if we die. Take good care of your brothers and sisters. Burn us both on the same pyre. They wrote a letter with the names of five people saying, 'Don't spare those who caused our death.'
