ఇంటర్నెట్ డెస్క్: జెనీవాలో ఉన్న భారత శాశ్వత కమిషన్లోని ఓ అధికారి నిధుల దుర్వినియోగానికి పాల్పడినట్లు తెలిసింది. అక్కడ అకౌంటెంట్గా విధులు నిర్వర్తించిన ఆ అధికారి చేతివాటం ప్రదర్శించి దాదాపు 2లక్షలకుపైగా స్విస్ ఫ్రాంక్ (సుమారు రూ.2కోట్లు)లను సొంత ఖాతాల్లోకి మళ్లించినట్లు తేలింది. దీంతో అతడిపై సీబీఐ కేసు నమోదు చేసింది.
జెనీవాలో ఉన్న భారత శాశ్వత కమిషన్లో మోహిత్ అనే అధికారి అసిస్టెంట్ సెక్షన్ ఆఫీసర్గా గతేడాది డిసెంబర్లో చేరారు. భారత కార్యాలయానికి యూనియన్ బ్యాంక్ ఆఫ్ స్విట్జర్లాండ్లో అకౌంట్లు ఉన్నాయి. ఆ లావాదేవీల నిర్వహణ బాధ్యతలు అతడికి అప్పగించారు. చెల్లింపుల కోసం క్యూఆర్ కోడ్లను ఉపయోగిస్తుండగా.. అందులో కొన్ని నకిలీ కోడ్లను సృష్టించిన మోహిత్ సొంత ఖాతాలకు మళ్లించినట్లు తెలిసింది. ఏడాది కాలంలో మొత్తంగా రూ.2 కోట్లకుపైగా దారి మళ్లించినట్లు అధికారులు గుర్తించారు.
ఈ వ్యవహారం గురించి అధికారులు ప్రశ్నించగా.. చేసిన మోసాన్ని మోహిత్ అంగీకరించాడు. ఆ నిధులను క్రిప్టో గ్యాంబ్లింగ్ కార్యకలాపాలకు మళ్లించినట్లు పేర్కొన్నాడు. దీంతో అతడిని కుటుంబంతో సహా భారత్కు పంపించారు. నేరపూరిత ద్రోహం, ఫోర్జరీ, ఖాతాలు దుర్వినియోగం, అవినీతి నిరోధక చట్టం కింద కేసు నమోదు చేసిన సీబీఐ దర్యాప్తు చేపట్టింది.

An officer named Mohit joined the Permanent Commission of India in Geneva as an Assistant Section Officer in December last year. India office has accounts in Union Bank of Switzerland. He was entrusted with the management of those transactions. While using QR codes for payments, it is known that some of the fake codes were diverted to Mohit's own accounts. The authorities found that a total of Rs 2 crores had been diverted during the year.

So he was sent to India along with his family. Criminal treachery, forgery, misappropriation of accounts, CBI has registered a case under Prevention of Corruption Act.
