దిల్లీ: వచ్చే ఏడాది అసెంబ్లీ ఎన్నికలు జరగనున్న తమిళనాడులో కేంద్ర ఎన్నికల సంఘం ఓటరు జాబితా ప్రత్యేక సమగ్ర సవరణ (SIR) చేపడుతోంది. ఇప్పటికే తొలి విడత ప్రక్రియ పూర్తయిన నేపథ్యంలో శుక్రవారం ఓటర్ల ముసాయిదా జాబితాను విడుదల చేసింది. గత జాబితాతో పోలిస్తే 97 లక్షల ఓటర్ల పేర్లను తొలగించింది. ఎస్ఐఆర్ ప్రక్రియ చేపట్టడానికి ముందు రాష్ట్రంలో 6.41 కోట్ల ఓటర్లు ఉండగా.. ప్రస్తుత జాబితాలో 5.43 కోట్ల మంది మాత్రమే ఉన్నారు. తొలిగించిన వారిలో 27 లక్షల మంది మృతి చెందగా.. 66 లక్షల మంది ఇతర రాష్ట్రాల్లో స్థిరపడ్డారని, మరో 3.4 లక్షల మంది డూప్లికేట్ ఓటర్లు ఉన్నట్లు ఎన్నికల సంఘం పేర్కొంది. ఓటు హక్కు కోల్పోయిన వారు జనవరి 18లోగా అభ్యంతరాలు తెలిపేందుకు ఈసీ అవకాశం కల్పించింది.
గుజరాత్లో 73.73 లక్షల ఓట్లు తొలగింపు
మరోవైపు గుజరాత్కు సంబంధించిన ఓటరు ముసాయిదా జాబితాను కూడా ఈసీ ప్రకటించింది. మొత్తం 73.73 లక్షల ఓట్లను తొలగించినట్లు పేర్కొంది. రాష్ట్రంలో మొత్తం 5.08 కోట్ల మంది ఓటర్లకు గానూ.. ముసాయిదా జాబితాలో 4.34 కోట్ల మంది మాత్రమే ఉన్నారు. తొలగించిన వారిలో 18 లక్షల మంది మృతి చెందగా, 40 లక్షల మంది ఇతర రాష్ట్రాల్లో స్థిరపడ్డారని, 3.81 లక్షల మందికి ఒకటి కంటే ఎక్కువ చోట్ల ఓటు హక్కు ఉందని ఈసీ వెల్లడించింది. గుజరాత్లో నవంబర్ 4న ఎస్ఐఆర్ ప్రక్రియను ప్రారంభించిన ఈసీ.. డిసెంబర్ 14తో ముగించింది. అభ్యంతరాలు తెలిపేందుకు జనవరి 18 వరకు అవకాశం కల్పించింది.

Delhi: The Central Election Commission special list of voters in Tamil Nadu where assembly elections will be held next year Undergoing comprehensive overhaul (SIR). The draft list of voters has been released on Friday after the first phase of the process has already been completed. Compared to the previous list, 97 lakh names of voters have been deleted. While there were 6.41 crore voters in the state before the SIR process was undertaken, there are only 5.43 crore voters in the current list. The Election Commission stated that 27 lakh people have died out of those removed, 66 lakh have settled in other states and another 3.4 lakh are duplicate voters. The EC has given an opportunity to those who have lost their right to vote by January 18.

On the other hand, the EC has also announced the draft voter list for Gujarat. A total of 73.73 lakh votes were deleted. Out of total 5.08 crore voters in the state, there are only 4.34 crore voters in the draft list. The EC revealed that 18 lakh people have died, 40 lakh have settled in other states and 3.81 lakh people have the right to vote in more than one place. The EC, which started the SIR process in Gujarat on November 4, ended it on December 14. It has given time till January 18 to raise objections.
