Train Hits Elephants in Assam | గువాహటి: ఈశాన్య రాష్ట్రం అస్సాంలో శనివారం రైలు ప్రమాదం జరిగింది. సైరాంగ్ నుంచి న్యూదిల్లీ బయల్దేరిన రాజధాని ఎక్స్ప్రెస్ (Rajdhani Express) హొజాయ్ జిల్లాలో ఏనుగుల మందను ఢీకొట్టింది. ఈ ఘటనలో కొన్ని ఏనుగులు మృతిచెందగా.. ప్రమాదం ధాటికి రైలు బోగీలు పట్టాలు తప్పాయి.
రైలు ఇంజిన్తో పాటు ఐదు బోగీలు పట్టాలు తప్పినట్లు నార్త్ఈస్ట్ ఫ్రంటియర్ రైల్వే అధికార ప్రతినిధి వెల్లడించారు. అయితే, ప్రయాణికులెవరికీ ఎలాంటి ప్రమాదం (Train Accident in Assam) జరగలేదని తెలిపారు. తెల్లవారుజామున 2 గంటల సమయంలో ఈ ఘటన చోటుచేసుకుంది. రైలు ఢీకొనడంతో ఏడు ఏనుగులు మృతి చెందగా.. మరో ఏనుగు గాయపడింది. రైల్వే, అటవీశాఖ అధికారులు ఘటనాస్థలానికి చేరుకొని దర్యాప్తు చేపట్టారు.

ప్రమాదం కారణంగా ఈ మార్గంలోని రైళ్ల రాకపోకలకు అంతరాయం కలిగింది. పలు రైళ్లను దారి మళ్లించినట్లు అధికారులు వెల్లడించారు. ఘటన జరిగిన ప్రాంతం ఎలిఫెంట్ కారిడార్ కాదని రైల్వే అధికారులు తెలిపారు. పట్టాలపై ఏనుగుల మందను చూడగానే లోకో పైలట్ ఎమర్జెన్సీ బ్రేకులు వేశాడని, అయినప్పటికీ ప్రమాదం జరిగిందని వివరించారు. దీనిపై దర్యాప్తు జరుగుతోందన్నారు.

Train Hits Elephants in Assam | Guwahati: A train accident took place in the northeastern state of Assam on Saturday. Rajdhani Express (Rajdhani Express) departing from Sairang to New Delhi collided with a herd of elephants in Hojai district. While some elephants died in this incident, the train bogies derailed due to the accident.
The spokesman of Northeast Frontier Railway revealed that five bogies along with the train engine derailed. However, he said that there was no accident (Train Accident in Assam) to any passenger.
