విజయవాడ(చిట్టినగర్), న్యూస్టుడే: మద్యానికి రూ.10 తగ్గిందని.. అడిగితే ఇవ్వలేదన్న కోపంతో ఓ వ్యక్తిని దారుణంగా హత్య చేసిన ఘటన విజయవాడ చిట్టినగర్ ప్రాంతంలో చోటుచేసుకుంది. భీమన బాపయ్యవీధి కొండ ప్రాంతానికి చెందిన తెన్నేరు పాండు, జ్యోతి దంపతుల చిన్న కుమారుడు దుర్గాప్రసాద్ (19) ఎలక్ట్రికల్ పనులు చేస్తుంటాడు. గురువారం దుర్గాప్రసాద్ సిగరెట్ తాగుతుండడం చూసిన అతని అన్నయ్య మందలించాడు. దీంతో ఆగ్రహానికి గురైన దుర్గాప్రసాద్ చిట్టినగర్లోని ఓ బార్లో మద్యం తాగాడు. మరోసారి తాగడానికి రూ.10 తగ్గడంతో.. ఆప్రాంతంలో ఉన్న పలకా తాతాజీ (48)ని అడగ్గా ఇవ్వలేదు. వారిద్దరి మధ్య మాటామాటా పెరగడంతో తాతాజీ.. దుర్గాప్రసాద్ చెంపపై కొట్టాడు. తరువాత మరో వ్యక్తిని రూ.10 అడిగి మద్యం తాగిన దుర్గాప్రసాద్.. ఇంటికి వెళ్లి కత్తి తీసుకొచ్చాడు. నిద్రపోతున్న తాతాజీ ఛాతిలో పొడవడంతో మృతి చెందాడు.
కేఎల్రావునగర్కు చెందిన తాతాజీ మద్యానికి బానిస కావడంతో భార్య వేరుగా మంగళగిరిలో ఉంటున్నారు. వారి కొడుకులిద్దరూ కాకినాడ, విశాఖలో ఉంటున్నారు. దీంతో తాతాజీ తాపీ పనులు చేసుకుంటూ.. చిట్టినగర్ సొరంగం మార్గంలోని ఓ షాపు వరండాలో పడుకుంటున్నాడు. అతను హత్యకు గురైనట్లు సమాచారం అందుకున్న పోలీసులు సీసీ కెమెరాలు పరిశీలించగా.. నిందితుడు టేనర్పేట అడ్డరోడ్డు నుంచి లంబాడీపేట వైపు వెళ్లినట్లు గుర్తించారు. అతడి కోసం గాలిస్తున్న క్రమంలో.. నిందితుడి తల్లి జ్యోతి దుర్గాప్రసాద్ను పోలీసులకు అప్పగించారు.

Vijayawada (Chittinagar), Newstoday: An incident took place in Vijayawada's Chittanagar area where a man was brutally murdered because he was angry that he was not given Rs.10 for liquor. Durgaprasad (19), the youngest son of Tenneru Pandu and Jyoti from Bhimana Bapayyaveedhi hill area, does electrical work. On Thursday, Durgaprasad was reprimanded by his elder brother when he saw him smoking a cigarette. Enraged by this, Durgaprasad drank alcohol in a bar in Chittanagar. Once again, as Rs.10 was reduced for drinking, Tathaji (48) who was in the area was not asked to give it. Tataji slapped Durgaprasad on the cheek as the quarrel between them increased. Later Durgaprasad, who was drunk after asking another person for Rs.10, went home and brought a knife. Tataji was stabbed in the chest while he was sleeping and died.
Tataji from KL Raonagar was addicted to alcohol and was living separately from his wife in Mangalagiri. Both their sons are staying in Kakinada and Visakhapatnam. As a result, Tataji was sleeping in the verandah of a shop on the Chittanagar tunnel road while he was doing brick work. On receiving the information that he was murdered, the police checked the CCTV cameras and found that the accused had gone towards Lambadipet from Tanerpet bypass. While searching for him.. Accused's mother Jyoti Durgaprasad has been handed over to the police.
