చింతలపూడి, న్యూస్టుడే: గత పాలకుల ఓటు బ్యాంకు రాజకీయాలు, స్థానిక నేతల అత్యుత్సాహం వెరసి చింతలపూడి ప్రజల ఆరాధ్యదైవం వేగిలింగేశ్వరస్వామికీ కష్టాలు కొని తెచ్చాయి. పట్టణ నడిబొడ్డున ఉన్న ఈ ఆలయం ఒకప్పుడు నిత్యకల్యాణం పచ్చతోరణంగా భక్తులతో కళకళలాడుతుండేది. స్వామివారికి ఉన్న స్థిరాస్తులపై వచ్చే ఆదాయంతో పండగలు, ఉత్సవాలు వైభవంగా నిర్వహించేవారు. ప్రస్తుతం నిత్యధూపదీప నైవేద్యాలకూ ఇబ్బందులు తప్పటం లేదు.
గత పాలకుల నిర్ణయాలతో..
1992లో అప్పటి ప్రభుత్వం వేగిలింగేశ్వరస్వామి ఆలయానికి ఉన్న భూములను స్వాధీనం చేసుకొని పేదలకు పంపిణీ చేసింది. అప్పట్లో ఉన్న అధికారులు, నాయకులు కలిసి వీటికి ప్రభుత్వం పరిహారం చెల్లిస్తుందని భక్తులు, ఆలయ ధర్మకర్తల మండలిని నమ్మించి పనికానిచ్చేశారు. ఆలయానికి భట్టువారిగూడెం వద్ద ఉన్న 6.52 ఎకరాలు, కాంతంపాలెం రోడ్డులోని 2.20 ఎకరాలు, వెలమపేట వద్ద ఉన్న 4 ఎకరాలు ప్రభుత్వం తీసేసుకుంది. ఈ ఆలయానికి ఎదురుగాను, దీనికి అనుసంధానంగా ఉన్న వీరమ్మ పేరంటాలు ఆలయానికి చెందిన 2.40 ఎకరాల భూమి కూడా ప్రభుత్వం తీసుకుంది. స్వాధీనపరచుకున్న ఆ భూముల్లో బలహీన వర్గాలకు కాలనీలు నిర్మించారు.
33 ఏళ్లు అవుతున్నా..ఈ తతంగం జరిగి సుమారు 33 ఏళ్లు గడుస్తున్నా ప్రభుత్వం నుంచి ఒక్క పైసా కూడా స్వామివారి ఆలయానికి పరిహారం అందలేదు. ఈ భూముల్లో మెరక, మాగాణి కూడా ఉన్నాయి. ప్రస్తుతం వీటి మార్కెట్ విలువ ఎకరం రూ.30 లక్షలు పైచిలుకే ఉంది. ప్రస్తుతం ఆలయానికి రేచర్లలో అరెకరం, కాంతంపాలెంలో సుమారు 2 ఎకరాలు, సమ్మెటవారిగూడెంలో 1.5 ఎకరాలు మాత్రమే ఉన్నాయి. వీటి ద్వారా ఏడాదికి రూ.26 వేలు ఆదాయం వస్తోంది. ఆలయం ఎదురుగా భక్తుల సహకారంతో మూడు దుకాణాలు ఏర్పాటు చేశారు. వీటి ద్వారా అరకొరగా ఆదాయం వస్తోంది. ‘ఈ ఆలయ భూములను గతంలోనే పేదలకు పంచారు. దీనికి సంబంధించిన పరిహారం విడుదల కాలేదు. ఈ విషయం న్యాయస్థానంలో పెండింగ్లో ఉంది’. అని ఆలయ కార్యనిర్వహణాధికారి శ్రీనివాస్ చెప్పారు.
