Delhi: The capital of Amarathi is different in the country. AP CM Chandrababu has asked Union Minister Gadkari to connect the national highway network to connect the cities. CM met with Nitin Gadkari as part of his visit to Delhi. Appreciated Nitin Gadkari's efforts in strengthening the National Highway Network. He mentioned that national highways are an indicator of economic progress along with the connectivity of different areas. Amaravati, which is developing as a green field city, was asked to establish a direct and indirect network with national highways.
He appealed to the Center to take up the construction of the 6-lane iconic bridge proposed by the state government over the Krishna river. The iconic 6-lane cable stead bridge will connect Amaravati with 3 key national highways at Moolapadu. He said that this bridge will connect Amaravati with the coastal road corridor including Vijayawada-Hyderabad and Chennai-Kolkata. The Chief Minister clarified that the proposed greenfield highway from Hyderabad to Amaravati will provide high-speed access, which will significantly reduce the travel time for the people along with the connectivity between the cities. It was revealed that Amaravati will be transformed into a mobility hub and logistics node in the national highway grid.
