ఈనాడు, హైదరాబాద్: రాష్ట్ర రాజధాని హైదరాబాద్ మహా నగర పరిధిలో రోజుకు 14.5 లక్షల నల్లా కనెక్షన్లతో 1.30 కోట్ల మందికి 560 ఎంజీడీల నీటి సరఫరా జరుగుతోంది. దీనిలో కనీసం 20% ఆదా చేస్తే 30.28 కోట్ల లీటర్లు మిగులుతాయని గ్రేటర్‌ అధికారులు అంచనా వేశారు. ఇదే నీటిని రోజుకు ఒక వ్యక్తికి 160 లీటర్ల చొప్పున 15 లక్షల జనాభా ఉన్న నల్గొండలాంటి పెద్ద జిల్లాకు ఒక రోజంతా ఇవ్వొచ్చు. కేవలం హైదరాబాద్‌లో పొదుపు చేస్తేనే ఇంత మార్పు వస్తుందంటే... రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ దీన్ని ఆచరిస్తే వచ్చే మార్పు ఎంతలా ఉంటుందో ఊహించవచ్చని నిపుణులు కోరుతున్నారు. ఎల్‌నినో కారణంగా రాష్ట్రంలో భూగర్భజలాలు అడుగంటడం, జలాశయాలు వట్టిపోవడంతో నీటికి కటకట ఏర్పడే ప్రమాదం కనిపిస్తోంది. ఇప్పటికే కొన్ని ప్రాంతాల్లో బోర్లు ఎండిపోవడం మొదలైంది. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో అందరి ముందున్న ఏకైక కర్తవ్యం ఆదా ఒక్కటే. రాష్ట్రంలో వర్షపాత లోటు, అధిక ఉష్ణోగ్రతలు, అధిక వినియోగంతో భూగర్భ జలాలు రోజురోజుకూ మరింత లోతుల్లోకి వెళ్తున్నాయి. ఈ తరుణంలో నీటిని అత్యంత జాగ్రత్తగా వాడుకోవాలని ప్రభుత్వం కోరుతోంది.
అధిక జనాభా జిల్లాలో ఆందోళనకరం
రాష్ట్రంలో 271 మండలాల్లో భూగర్భ జలమట్టం పరిస్థితి ప్రమాదకర స్థాయికి పడిపోయినట్లు భూగర్భ జలవనరుల శాఖ నివేదికలు వెల్లడిస్తున్నాయి. వీటిలో 117 మండలాల్లో తీవ్రత అధికంగా ఉంది. ముఖ్యంగా హైదరాబాద్, మేడ్చల్‌-మల్కాజిగిరి, రంగారెడ్డి, వికారాబాద్‌; మహబూబ్‌నగర్, నారాయణపేట, భద్రాద్రి-కొత్తగూడెం, ఖమ్మం, సంగారెడ్డి, జయశంకర్‌ భూపాలపల్లి, సూర్యాపేట, ఆదిలాబాద్, జోగులాంబ-గద్వాల, మహబూబాబాద్, మెదక్, మంచిర్యాల, హనుమకొండ, వరంగల్, నిర్మల్, కామారెడ్డి, యాదాద్రి-భువనగిరి తదితర జిల్లాల్లోని 271 మండలాల్లో పరిస్థితులు భయపెడుతున్నాయి.
మనసు పెడితే మార్గాలు ఎన్నెన్నో...
గృహాల్లో రోజూ చేస్తున్న నీటి వినియోగం తీరును ప్రత్యేకంగా పరిశీలించాలి. ఏమేరకు ఆదా చేయగలుగుతామనే విషయాన్ని పరిశీలిస్తే పొదుపు దానంతటదే మొదలవుతుంది. నల్లాల లీకేజీలు, వంట సామగ్రిని శుభ్రపరిచే విధానం, వాషింగ్‌ మెషిన్, షవర్లు, వాష్‌బేసిన్‌ వద్ద వినియోగం లాంటి వాటిని గమనించాలి.

- ప్రతి ఇంట్లో ఇంకుడు గుంత తప్పనిసరిగా ఏర్పాటు చేసుకోవాలి. అపార్ట్‌మెంట్లు, గేటెడ్‌ కమ్యూనిటీలు వినియోగించిన నీటిని తప్పనిసరిగా వాటి పరిధిలోనే ఇంకేలా చూసుకోవాలి.
- తాగునీటి ఫిల్టర్లు ఒక లీటరు స్వచ్ఛమైన నీటి కోసం రెండున్నర లీటర్ల నీటిని శుద్ధి చేస్తుంటాయి. అంటే లీటరున్నర నీరు వృథా అవుతున్నట్లే లెక్క. ఆర్వో ఫిల్టర్‌ కేంద్రాలు, బల్క్‌గా శుద్ధి చేసే కేంద్రాల్లో పొదుపు పాటించాలి. శుద్ధి అనంతరం విడుదలయ్యే నీటిని ఇంకుడు గుంతల్లో ఇంకేలా చూడాలి.
