Today, Amaravati: Local body elections. The adjustment of seats between the coalition parties is almost over. Jana Sena is likely to contest in four municipal corporations, 20 to 24 municipal councils and three to four city panchayats. BJP can contest in one city body, four to five municipal bodies and one city panchayat. On Wednesday night, the multi-stage discussions between the coalition parties on the issue of who should contest for the positions of mayors and municipal chairpersons of the city governments came to an end on Wednesday night. There was excitement over the adjustment of seats as the chief leaders of the three parties including CM Chandrababu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and BJP state president Madhav participated in the discussions. The process was clarified after a long consultation. As both Jana Sena and BJP are asking for Srikalahasti Municipal Corporation, there is confusion over this. In one or two days, it will be clear which party will contest this seat.
