Machilipatnam Crime : Krishna District A massive theft took place in Machilipatnam in broad daylight. The incident took place in the house of a teacher in Chilakalapudi Sarkar Thota area. Margaret, who works as a teacher at Koutharam Urdu School in Gudlavalleru mandal, locked her house and went to school on Wednesday morning. As it was the month of Ramzan, she came home when the school declared an afternoon holiday. After confirming that the house had been burglarized as the doors were broken, they lodged a complaint with the Chilakalapudi police. Police reached the spot with clues team and started investigation. The victim said that around 50 talas of gold and Rs.1,40,000 in cash were stolen.
