Today, Amaravati: Hyderabad-Machilipatnam National Highway.. Vijayawada To the extent that it is within the city limits, the authorities are considering the proposal of constructing an elevated flyover on that route. It is about 14 km from Kanakadurga flyover at Rajiv Park near Pandit Nehru bus stand to Ganguru junction on the way towards Machilipatnam. It is planned to build this flyover with six rows. It is expected that due to this, there will be no hindrance for the people traveling on the highway and the traffic problems of Vijayawada city will also be solved. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) officials are discussing different plans on how to carry out this project at the Delhi level. It will pass through Bhavanipuram, Kanakadurga Flyover, Krishna Lanka, Varadhi Junction, Benz Circle, Autonagar Gate, Kanur, Poranki, Penamalur.

  • At present, a project has been undertaken to widen the highway between Hyderabad-Vijayawada into six lanes. It was initially thought to be extended to the point where the Vijayawada Bypass crosses at Gollapudi. Due to pressure from the state government, NHAI has agreed to extend Kanakadurga flyover at Bhavanipuram. DPR is being prepared to this extent.
  • On the other hand, the project of widening the Vijayawada-Machilipatnam highway to six lanes is also being undertaken. From the point where the outer ring road crosses near Davuluru Toll Plaza to Machilipatnam, it will be extended into six lines.
  • Thus, within Vijayawada city limits, from Kanakadurga flyover to Krishnalanka, Varadhi Junction, Screwbridge, Benz Circle, and from there towards Machilipatnam to Kanur, Poranki, Penamalur, Ganguru, This highway will remain only four lanes from Kankipadu to Davuluru toll plaza.
  • Recently this issue came up for discussion in a meeting of NHAI officials. A question has arisen if Vijayawada is spread in six rows on both sides and four rows remain in the middle of the city where the traffic is heavy. It has been estimated that the solution for this is to construct an elevated flyover with six rows in the city. So the higher officials ordered to prepare proposals for elevated bridge with six rows from Kanakadurga flyover to Ganguru intersection.
  • Okata? Renda?

    • Construction of elevated flyover will not require much land acquisition in Bejawada city limits. Land has to be collected for the approaches to be built to go to the bridge (entry) and to come out (exit) at various junctions. There is a debate going on whether to build a single bridge along its length or to divide it into two parts. In order to build a single bridge, as there are already two bridges at Benz circle in the middle, an elevated flyover has to be designed to take a turn towards the port from them.
    • Instead of this, 5 km from Kanakadurga Bridge to Krishna Lanka and Varadhi intersection to near Benz Circle. An elevated flyover, 9 km from Benz circle to Ganguru intersection. They will examine how it will be if another flyover is constructed. Officials say that it will be clarified in a week or two.
    • DPR is being prepared for two projects on the same highway in the name of highway expansion between Hyderabad-Vijayawada and Vijayawada-Machilipatnam. This elevated flyover is also being considered. href="https://www.facebook.com/eenaduonline/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Facebook, Twitter, Instagram& Google News. Tags :
