Ignorance must be eradicated!

ThatDishankara said ignorance is different. This ignorance is not that. This ignorance that reigns all over is the cause of iniquity and injustice. It disintegrates the kingdom by enthroning the unworthy. Plays with people. If everyone is wise then why do they scalp bad rulers? Why do they go to great lengths to bring them down? Ignorance was Duryodhana's teacher. Uncle of Kamsa. Ignorance drives demons and demon-like men. How to do without it? It is not possible. Not all can be academics, scholars, sages, yogis. The Vedas say that ignorance is as old as knowledge. Life is a struggle between these two. However, ignorance should not be nurtured by watching. Wherever it is, shape it.
A stranger is more comfortable than a known one. So what will happen to the world if everyone behaves in ignorance? In the dim darkness the rope looks like a snake. If the light of a lamp shines on it, it will be known that it has hit. If ignorance is to be removed, the light of knowledge must be spread. Self-education is necessary to be uneducated. Everyone does not get it, the siddhi of brahma-jnana which is acquired by self-knowledge does not come. So it is enough for him to know his ignorance. That's why Socrates says 'I know what I know nothing about'. 

The right knowledge should come at the right time to eradicate ignorance. Or we should see that ignorance does not increase. A hundred Kauravas followed ignorance. They were destroyed by Duryodhana. The five Pandavas followed knowledge. Got the protection of Lord Krishna. Succeeded. Ignorance is the cause of all misery. Knowledge is the cause of all auspiciousness and happiness. May great ideas and wonderful knowledge come from all sides! That is why the Rugveda says.

There is wisdom in satsangatya. Misfortune consists of ignorance. It provides temporary comfort. There is eternal happiness in knowledge. To impart it to the world- like spraying pesticides on vermin, raining knowledge on ignorance. 

Evil spreads like wildfire. Evil builds a house before it reaches the good ear. Ignorance burns villages. God in the form of Guru guides the right path and destroys the game of ignorance. They should take responsibility and wherever there is ignorance, iniquity and falsehood, they should be protested, opposed and eradicated. In order to experience the phrase Brahmasatyam Jaganmidhya, one has to remove this basic ignorance at the general level.
