Visakha: CMD Prithvithej said that approximately 74 lakh consumers are being served continuously with quality standards in 11 circles under AP Eastern Region Electricity Distribution Corporation. He said that by reducing power transmission and distribution losses by recording only 5.88 percent, it has stood at the top among all power distribution companies in the country. He said that APEPDCL has stood at the top position in the state by providing a subsidy of Rs.30 thousand to Rs.78 thousand as part of the PM Suryagarh Muft Bijli Yojana scheme and by installing roof top solar plants with a capacity of 138 megawatts for 43,340 household consumers. He said that electricity connections have been provided free of cost to 41,000 households in remote tribal areas where there is no road or transport facility. 

The 77th Republic Day celebrations were held on Monday at the corporate office of Andhra Pradesh Eastern Region Power Distribution Company (APEPDCL). On this occasion, the Chairman and Managing Director of the company Immadi Prithvithej unveiled the national flag. He then spoke.  Certificates of appreciation were handed over to 80 employees who showed excellence in their duties on the occasion of Republic Day on Monday. Directors T.V. Suryaprakash, T.
