ఇంటర్నెట్డెస్క్: అమెరికా అధ్యక్షుడు డొనాల్డ్ ట్రంప్ అక్రమ వలసలపై కఠిన చర్యలు తీసుకుంటున్నారు. ఈ క్రమంలో ఆ దేశ సరిహద్దుల (US border) వద్ద రోజుకు 65 మంది భారతీయులు అరెస్టు అవుతున్నట్లు యూఎస్ కస్టమ్స్ అండ్ బోర్డర్ ప్రొటెక్షన్ విభాగం వెల్లడించింది. 2025 జనవరి- డిసెంబర్ మధ్యలో 23,830 మంది భారతీయులను అదుపులోకి తీసుకున్నట్లు తెలిపింది. 2024లో ఈ సంఖ్య 85,119గా ఉంది. గతేడాది అదుపులోకి తీసుకున్న వారి సంఖ్య తక్కువగానే ఉన్నప్పటికీ.. ఇలా పట్టుబడుతున్న అక్రమ వలసదారుల్లో అత్యధికులు భారతీయులు ఉండటం ఆందోళన కలిగిస్తోంది.
ఉద్యోగాలు, మెరుగైన వేతనం కోసమే భారత్తో సహా పలు దేశాలకు చెందినవారు ఆమెరికా ( USA)లోకి అక్రమంగా వచ్చేందుకు యత్నిస్తున్నారు. అయితే వారిలో ఒక్కోసారి ఎలాంటి తోడు లేని పిల్లలు కనిపిస్తుండటం ఆందోళన కలిగిస్తుందని యూఎస్ అధికారులు తెలిపారు. సరిహద్దు వద్ద నిబంధనలను కఠినంగా అమలు చేస్తుండటంతో సరిహద్దులు దాటుతున్న వారి సంఖ్య తగ్గినప్పటికీ.. పూర్తిస్థాయిలో మాత్రం ఆగిపోలేదు. ఇదిలా ఉంటే.. అక్రమంగా అమెరికా వెళ్లడానికి మెక్సికో ఒక మార్గంగా ఉంది. అయితే 2025 నుంచి పలువురు మెక్సికో కాకుండా కెనడాను ఎంచుకుంటున్నారని మీడియా కథనాలు పేర్కొన్నాయి. ‘‘దుబాయ్, ఇస్తాంబుల్ నుంచి మెక్సికో, కెనడా మీదుగా యూఎస్లోకి వెళ్లేందుకు యత్నిస్తున్నారు. అయితే ఇప్పుడు ఆ మార్గాల్లో ఆటంకం ఏర్పడుతుండటంతో.. అత్యంత ప్రమాదకరమైన కొత్త మార్గాలను ఎంచుకుంటున్నారు’’ అని వెల్లడించాయి.
