కళ్లు చూసే దృశ్యాన్ని, చెవులు వినే మాటని, నాసిక ఆఘ్రాణించే వాసనని, చర్మం పొందే స్పర్శను, నాలుక పొందే రుచినీ మనసు విశ్లేషిస్తుంది. ఒక భావం పురుడుపోసుకుంటుంది. అది ఎలాంటిది అన్నది మనిషి మనసుకు, బుద్ధి ఇచ్చే తర్ఫీదు మీద ఆధారపడి ఉంటుంది. బుద్ధి సవ్యంగా ఉంటే, మనిషి సవ్యంగా ఉన్నట్టే. మోక్షం కోసం ప్రయత్నించేవాళ్లు తపస్సుతో మనసును కట్టడి చేయాలని చూసేది అందుకే. సంకల్పబలానికి మూలం మనసులోని భావమే!
విగ్రహాన్ని దేనితో రూపొందించినా, దేవుడనే భావంతో శ్రద్ధాభక్తులతో సేవిస్తే భగవంతుడి అనుగ్రహం లభిస్తుంది. పరమాత్ముడు మనిషి భావంలోనే కొలువై ఉంటాడు. సిద్ధి పొందడానికి అదే హేతువు అవుతుంది. ‘భావములోన బాహ్యమునందున గోవింద, గోవిందయని కొలువవో మనసా’ అంటాడు అన్నమయ్య. భగవంతుణ్ని బాహ్యంగానే కాదు అంతరంగంతోనూ ఆరాధించాలి. అప్పుడే మనిషి తన్మయత్వ స్థితికి చేరుకుంటాడు.
కొత్తగా వచ్చిన వ్యక్తి- ఈ ఊరు మంచిదా? చెడ్డదా? అని ఊళ్లోని వ్యక్తిని ప్రశ్నిస్తే ‘మీరు మంచివారా? చెడ్డవారా? అన్నదాని మీద అది ఆధారపడి ఉంటుంద’ని జవాబిస్తాడు. ఇది మనందరికీ తెలిసిన కథ. మనిషిని బట్టే సమాజం. సమాజం అంటే మనుషుల సమూహమే కదా! ఒకసారి శ్రీకృష్ణుడు దుర్యోధనుడితో- ‘రాజ్యంలో మంచివాళ్లెవరైనా ఉంటే తీసుకురా, వరమిస్తాను’ అన్నాడు. దుర్యోధనుడు రోజంతా వెతికి ఒక్కరు కూడా కనిపించకపోవడంతో నిరాశతో తిరిగొచ్చి- ఒక్కరంటే ఒక్కరు కూడా మంచివాళ్లు కనిపించలేదంటూ పెదవి విరుస్తాడు. కృష్ణుడు ధర్మరాజును పిలిచి ‘రాజ్యంలో చెడ్డవాళ్లెవరైనా ఉంటే తీసుకురా, నీకు వరమిస్తాను’ అన్నాడు. ధర్మరాజు రోజంతా వెతికి రాజ్యంలో ఒక్క చెడ్డవాడు కూడా లేడన్న సంతృప్తితో తిరిగొచ్చి- ‘బావా, రాజ్యమంతా వెదికినా ఒక్క చెడ్డవాడూ కనిపించలేదు’ అన్నాడు. దుర్యోధన, ధర్మరాజుల మనోభావాల మధ్య ఉన్న వ్యత్యాసమది. అంటే ‘యద్భావం తద్భవతి’ అన్నట్టు మనిషి మంచివాడయితే లోకం మంచిదవుతుంది. చెడ్డవారికి అందరూ చెడ్డగానే కనిపిస్తారు. ఇది అక్షర సత్యం.
మనుషులు మోసపోవడానికి, మంచి ఫలితాలు పొందడానికి ఎదుటి వ్యక్తి గురించి మనసు వేసే అంచనాలే కారణం. శ్రీరాముణ్ని మనసా, వాచా నమ్మాడు గనకనే ఆంజనేయుడు రామభక్త హనుమాన్గా మన్ననలందుకున్నాడు. విభీషణుడు చూడగలిగిన రామయ్యలోని ధర్మమూర్తిని... లంకేశ్వరుడు, అతడి ఇతర సోదరులూ తమ బుద్ధిమాంద్యంతో చూడలేకపోయారు. నేలకూలారు. ఒక్కోసారి మన తప్పుడు అంచనాలను పెద్దల మాటలు సరిచేస్తాయి. గురువులు మనిషి బుద్ధిని సరైన మార్గంలో పెట్టి దిశానిర్దేశం చేస్తారు. ప్రార్థనలు, పుణ్యతీర్థాల్లో మునకలు, గురువుల పట్ల విశ్వాసం, వైద్యులపై నమ్మకం- వీటిలో మనిషి భావమెలా ఉంటే, అలాంటి ఫలితమే దక్కుతుందని కరుణశ్రీ తెలుగుబాల శతకంలో విశదపరిచారు.

- సృష్టికి మార్గదర్శకుడు సృష్టి... యాదృచ్ఛికంగా నడిచే ప్రక్రియ కాదు. దానికి ఒక క్రమం ఉంది, నియమం ఉంది, ధర్మం ఉంది. ఆ ధర్మానికి దిశానిర్దేశం చేసే శక్తే శ్రీకృష్ణుడు. ఆయన ద్వాపర యుగ అవతార పురుషుడు మాత్రమే కాదు. కాలం, దేశం, పరిస్థితులను దాటి నిలిచిన పరమసత్యానికి సాకార రూపం. సృష్టి ఎలా సాగాలి, జీవితం ఎలా నడవాలి అనే ప్రశ్నలకు సమాధానంగా నిలిచిన తత్వమే కృష్ణుడు.
- జ్ఞానాయుధం జ్ఞానం మనిషి వికాసానికి మూలాధారం. అది అంధకార మార్గంలో వెలుగులను ప్రకాశింపజేసే దివ్యజ్యోతి. వ్యక్తి ఉనికే ఙ్ఞానం... అంటాడు దక్షిణామూర్తి.
- ఏది హింస? ‘అహింసా పరమోధర్మః’ అన్నారు పెద్దలు. అంటే హింస చేయకుండా ఉండటమే గొప్ప ధర్మమని అర్థం. హింస అంటే శారీరకంగా బాధించడమో, చంపడమో అని మాత్రమే అర్థంకాదు. ఎదుటివారిని మానసికంగా క్షోభకు గురిచేసినా అది హింస కిందకే వస్తుంది. శరీరానికి బాణాలు గుచ్చుకున్నా ఉపాయంతో తీసి వేయవచ్చు, ఆ గాయాలు మందులతో కొంత కాలానికి మానతాయి.
- సహనం ఒక వరం ఆధ్యాత్మిక లక్ష్యాలను చేరుకోవాలన్నా, భౌతికమైన కోరికలు తీర్చుకోవాలన్నా మనిషికి సహనం తప్పనిసరి. నిర్దిష్ట లక్ష్యాలను సాధించడానికి భావోద్వేగాలను అదుపులో ఉంచుకుంటూ, నిరంతరం అంకితభావంతో చేసే కృషే- సహనం. అవాంతరాలను ఆత్మస్థైర్యంతో, పట్టుదలతో ఎదుర్కొని; పొగడ్తలకు, విమర్శలకు ప్రాధాన్యమివ్వకుండా చేసే యజ్ఞం అది.
- కాలం విలువ కాలం ప్రతీ క్షణం ఓ ఇంద్రజాలం. కళ్లముందే మాయమైపోతుంటుంది మరి. కదిలే కాలం అనుకోని విజయాలను, వైభవాలను ఇచ్చినట్లే అప్పుడప్పుడు ఓటమినీ చవిచూపిస్తుంది.
