Vijayawada: Janga Krishnamurthy has resigned from the governing body of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam. He revealed in a media conference held in Vijayawada that he has sent his resignation letter to Chief Minister Chandrababu and Thithide Board Chairman BR Naidu. In 2005, plot number-2 in Tirumala Balajinagar was allotted 500 yards of land under the donation scheme. In this, a trust was formed to build a guest house with 12 rooms. We have made a plan to give the rest of the 11 rooms to the devotees, except for one room, and let the management trust take care of it. At that time, the money could not be adjusted and the construction could not be started. Requested to extend the deadline for payment of donation.. To that extent JVO was also issued.
During the tenure of Dharma Reddy as EO, donation up to Rs.60 lakh was paid. At that time, when I was trying to join the Telugu Desam Party, my donation was returned and the proposal was rejected. In order to take advantage of my opportunity as a member of the board, I appealed to Chief Minister Chandrababu to re-allot the place to me with a sense of devotion. The matter has been referred to the Thitide Board for consideration. In the board.. except Bhanu Prakash Reddy all other members agreed. This resolution was sent to the government. The government suggested that the board should take a decision. I was offended when an article appeared in a magazine that damaged my personality on the internal discussion in the board. He resigned so as not to cause trouble to the government and the chief minister. Janga Krishnamurthy said, "I don't know what was discussed in the cabinet meeting regarding land reallotment.
