Rajkot: Hyderabad finally hit the jackpot in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. After four consecutive defeats, they won the match against Chandigarh by 136 runs on Saturday. Batting first, Hyderabad scored 286 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Captain Tilak Verma (109; 6 fours, 3 sixes off 118 balls) impressed with a century. Abhirat Reddy (71) shone with a half-century. The rest of the batsmen failed. Chandigarh were bowled out for 150 runs in 37.4 overs. Sanyam Saini (46) was the top scorer. Manan Vohra (24) and Vishu Kashyap (27) scored runs. Among the Hyderabad bowlers, Chintala Rakshana Reddy 3, Chama Milind 2, Kannala Nitish Reddy, Mohammad Siraj, Varun Goud took 2 wickets each.

Andhra suffered a defeat by 7 runs in the match 318 runs. Akshar Patel (130; 10 fours, 5 sixes) hit a 'hundred', Ravi Bishnoi (31) scored 4 runs, Nitish Kumar Reddy 2, Jagarlapudi Ram 1 wicket. Andhra scored 311 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. SDNV Prasad (48), Marthala Dhanush (25) scored runs. Gujarat bowlers Ravi Bishnoi 3, Akshar Patel 2, Arjan Nagwaswala 2 took two wickets.
