Birkur: Sarpanchi Arige Dharmateja said that Savitribai Phule is an ideal for women teachers. Savitribai Phule Jayanti celebrations were held on Saturday at Birkur Kasturba School, Gadi Sub Primary School for Girls, Gandhi Kudali. He attended the program as the chief guest and paid tributes to her by placing flowers on her portrait. Kasturba School Special Officer Geetha, HM Phanishri, Panchayat Secretary Gangaram, local leaders Balakrishna, Ramesh, Shiva and Raju participated.
