కొత్తగూడెం: భారీ మొత్తంలో లంచం తీసుకుంటూ ఇద్దరు ఫారెస్ట్ సిబ్బంది దొరికిపోయారు. భద్రాద్రి కొత్తగూడెంలో రూ.3.51 లక్షలు లంచం తీసుకుంటుండగా టీఎఫ్డీసీ ప్లాంటేషన్ మేనేజర్ తాడి రాజేందర్తోపాటు చెన్నారావు అనే వ్యక్తిని ఏసీబీ అధికారులు రెడ్ హ్యాండెడ్గా పట్టుకున్నారు. జామాయిల్ కటింగ్కు సంబంధించి ప్రభుత్వం నుంచి బిల్లులు చెల్లింపుల కోసం తమకు లంచం ఇవ్వాలని కాంట్రాక్టర్లను డివిజనల్ మేనేజర్ శ్రావణి డిమాండ్ చేశారు. దీంతో కాంట్రాక్టర్లు ఏసీబీని సంప్రదించారు. పక్కా ప్లాన్తో రంగంలోకి దిగిన ఏసీబీ అధికారులు.. శ్రావణి తరఫున లంచం తీసుకుటుండగా ఇద్దరినీ అరెస్ట్ చేశారు. నిందితులను కోర్టులో హాజరుపరిచారు.
టన్నుకు అంత ఇవ్వాల్సిందే..
జామాయిల్ చెట్ల కటింగ్కు సంబంధించి కాంట్రాక్టర్లకు ప్రభుత్వం చెల్లిస్తూ ఉంటుంది. వాటికి బిల్లులను ఫారెస్ట్ అధికారులు అప్రూవ్ చేయాల్సి ఉంటుంది. ఇదే అదనుగా డివిజినల్ మేనేజర్ తాటి శ్రావణి కాంట్రాక్టర్లపై లంచం కోసం ఒత్తిడి తెచ్చారు. మొత్తం 32వేల టన్నులకు సంబంధించి కటింగ్ బిల్లులు రావాల్సి ఉంది. టన్నుకు ప్రభుత్వం రూ.750 చొప్పున చెల్లిస్తుండగా.. అందులో తమకు టన్నుకు రూ. 150 ఇవ్వాలని ఫారెస్ట్ సిబ్బంది డిమాండ్ చేసినట్లు ఏసీబీ అధికారులు తెలిపారు. చివరికి టన్నుకు రూ.90 ఇచ్చేందుకు డీల్ కుదిరింది. అందులో తొలి విడతగా 3,900 టన్నుల కటింగ్ బిల్లులను అప్రూవ్ చేసేందుకు రూ.3.51 లక్షలు ఇవ్వాలని ఫారెస్ట్ అధికారులు డిమాండ్ చేశారు. దీంతో కాంట్రాక్టర్లు నేరుగా ఏసీబీని సంప్రదించారు. రంగంలోకి దిగిన ఏసీబీ డీఎస్పీ వై.రమేశ్ నేతృత్వంలో నిందితులను రెడ్హ్యాండెడ్గా పట్టుకున్నారు. అయితే, డివిజనల్ మేనేజర్ శ్రావణి రాకుండా.. ఆమెకు బదులు మరొకరిని పంపించారు. ప్లాంటేషన్ మేనేజర్ రాజేందర్తోపాటు చెన్నారావును ఏసీబీ అరెస్ట్ చేసింది. వీరిద్దరిని ఏ2, ఏ3గా పేర్కొన్న ఏసీబీ.. శ్రావణి పేరును ఏ1గా చేర్చింది.

Kottagudem: Two forest personnel caught taking huge bribe. ACB officials caught Chenna Rao red-handed along with TFDC Plantation Manager Tadi Rajender while taking a bribe of Rs.3.51 lakh in Bhadradri Kothagudem. The divisional manager Shravani demanded the contractors to give bribe to them for payment of bills from the government regarding Jamoil cutting. With this, the contractors contacted ACB. The ACB officials, who entered the field with a well-planned plan, arrested both of them while they were taking bribes on behalf of Shravani. The accused have been produced in the court.

Government pays the contractors for the cutting of jamayl trees. The bills have to be approved by the forest officials. In addition to this, Divisional Manager Tati Shravani pressured the contractors for bribe. Cutting bills are due for a total of 32,000 tonnes. While the government is paying Rs.750 per ton, they get Rs. ACB officials said that the forest staff demanded to give 150. In the end, a deal was reached to give Rs.90 per ton. The forest officials have demanded Rs.3.51 lakh to approve the cutting bills of 3,900 tonnes as the first installment. The contractors contacted ACB directly. The accused were caught red-handed under the leadership of ACB DSP Y. Ramesh who entered the field. However, the Divisional Manager Shravani did not come.. someone else was sent in her place. ACB arrested Chenna Rao along with plantation manager Rajender. ACB named the two as A2 and A3.. Shravani's name has been added as A1.
