Ekadashi of Vaikuntu

The word 'Vishnu' means 'Vishnu'. Dictionaries. Since he was in that Vishnu world, the name 'Vaikuntha' was established for Srimannarayana. Vikuntam is actually a worldly experience resulting from the highest spiritual attainment. Vaikuntha is the base of the divinity in the human being. Lame means stupid. All those who are especially attracted to evil and commit evil deeds in the world - are lame! When the demonic element is excessive, a human becomes a demon. Follows Murasura. Ekadashi is a sign of the divine power that emerges in man to destroy that evil!

Ekadashi is considered by Puranas to be the form of female power that emerged from the divine will of Lord Vishnu to slay the demon. On the day when the inner kunth is completely eradicated through the spiritual practices of meditation, fasting and upasana - the divine essence is unleashed in the lotus of the heart. That supreme state is called Vikuntam. Every Sadhaka who kills a Kunth is a Vikunth. Vaikuntha is what a Vikuntha gets by attaining Siddhi! That is why Srihari became Vaikuntha Amarakosam due to the birth of a saintly woman named 'Vikuntha'.

Ekadashi is a great tithi that gives siddhi to the ascetic. It is the eleventh day. It means that the ten senses that control the influence of the ten senses that play a game on a human being. Thus the Puranas narrate the story of Vaikhanas who followed the rules of Ekadashi with concentration and diligence and attained Siddhi. They say that he granted heaven to his father. Thus, the Ekadashi of Dhanurmasam, which causes heavenly happiness, is known as Saukhya Ekadashi, and in the sense that it contributes to the attainment of salvation, it is known as Moksha Ekadashi. 

In South Vaikuntha Ekadashi is treated as Mukkoti Ekadashi. The number of deities is estimated to be three crores and thirty three crores. Actually Koti is not a numerical sign. Including Ekadasa Rudras (11), Dwadasa Adityas (12), Ashtavasus (8) and two Ashwini deities, the number is thirty three Andi Veda. They are all responsible for managing creation. Puranas describe them as the three deities. Mukkoti Ekadashi is the date when they all come together to worship Lord Vishnu. The northern gate which opens specially for them... the gate of heaven. Hence it became Ekadashi by Swarga. Man has three states namely waking, dream and sleep. Their edge is called 'Koti'. We called it Mukkoti Ekadashi with the belief that it crosses those boundaries and bestows Jivanmukti. On that day, the devotees are excited to visit the Northern Door along with the three deities. Darshan is not something we do - God gives!
