Year of disaster!

- ABC MEDIUM
- ABC LARGE
- ABC EXTRA LARGE
It seems foolish to sit idly by when you know that the sun is looming. Acting to increase the severity of the impending danger will be tantamount to suicide. Carbon emissions are increasing due to the indiscriminate use of fossil fuels. As a result of them, the accelerating climate change with the increasing global temperature is causing major disasters. They make life miserable by claiming many lives and causing endless damage to property. The whole world is witnessing this destruction without reducing the use of fossil fuels! Between 2017-2024, global use of polluting fuels is expected to increase by seven percent. Compared to 2015, carbon dioxide emissions have increased by ten percent in 2025. Due to the leaders of the countries of the world who are writing down the spirit of the Paris Agreement to protect the environment with collective efforts, this year natural disasters have attacked humanity at the worst level ever! The latest study reveals that the top ten worst products have caused a loss of 12,200 crore dollars. Fires in America, cyclones in South-South-East Asia, floods in China, heavy rains in India-Pakistan and droughts in Brazil have affected people's lives. According to an analysis by the Center for Science and Environment (CSE), out of the 334 days between January and November 2025, India experienced some kind of weather disaster for 331 days. If 295 such bad days were recorded in the same period of 11 months - this year the number is disturbing. CSE has calculated that crops have been affected in at least 4.3 crore acres due to natural calamities. If infrastructure and dairy cattle are taken into consideration, the damage will be many times higher. Global warming caused by carbon emissions has caused $2.8 trillion of global wealth to evaporate between 1991-2020, researchers say. Fossil fuels are the main part of the sin of the products that are destroying the prosperity of the countries! Efforts aimed at restricting their use are often watered down by their leverage, oil producing countries are big companies!
India has announced a goal of achieving 'NetZero' (carbon emission neutrality) by 2070, which has called upon the countries of the world to phase out the use of all fossil fuels. By 2030, half of the domestic electricity needs will be provided by renewable energy sources. Thanks to clear plans and investments, it reached the destination five years before the specified deadline and created a new history just a few months ago. In order to control the carbon emissions that destroy the environment, the use of coal etc. must be reduced. The future of humanity will be secured only if the whole world stands together in giving preference to green fuels!
