ఈనాడు, అమరావతి: అన్నమయ్య జిల్లా కేంద్రాన్ని రాయచోటి నుంచి మదనపల్లెకు మార్చడంపై రాయచోటి ఎమ్మెల్యే, రవాణాశాఖ మంత్రి మండిపల్లి రాంప్రసాద్రెడ్డి భావోద్వేగానికి లోనయ్యారు. సోమవారం మంత్రివర్గ సమావేశంలో జిల్లాల విభజనపై అధికారులు ప్రజంటేషన్ ఇస్తున్న సమయంలో ఆయన కన్నీరు పెట్టుకున్నారు. దాంతో సమావేశంలో గంభీరమైన వాతావరణం నెలకొంది. ముఖ్యమంత్రి ఆయనను సముదాయించారు. ఎందుకు ఆ నిర్ణయం తీసుకోవలసి వచ్చిందో వివరించారు. రైల్వేకోడూరు ప్రజలు తమను తిరుపతి జిల్లాలో చేర్చాలని, రాజంపేట ప్రజలు వైఎస్సార్ కడప జిల్లాలో చేర్చాలని గట్టిగా పట్టుబట్టారని ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు. ఇక రాయచోటి ఒక్కటే మిగులుతోందని, దాన్ని ఒక్కదాన్నే జిల్లాగా కొనసాగించలేమని పేర్కొన్నారు.
రాయచోటినే జిల్లా కేంద్రంగా కొనసాగించాలని మండిపల్లి గట్టిగా పోరాడినా ప్రజల ఆకాంక్షల మేరకు తప్పనిసరి పరిస్థితుల్లో నిర్ణయం తీసుకోవలసి వచ్చిందని తెలిపారు. రాయచోటిని జిల్లా కేంద్రం స్థాయిలో అన్ని విధాలా అభివృద్ధి చేస్తామని సీఎం హామీ ఇచ్చారు. సహచర మంత్రులూ మండిపల్లిని సముదాయించారు. మంత్రివర్గ సమావేశం ముగిశాక మరో మంత్రి బీసీ జనార్దన్రెడ్డితో కలసి మండిపల్లి బయటకు వచ్చారు. మీడియా ప్రతినిధులు ఆయన చుట్టూ చేరినా మాట్లాడేందుకు నిరాకరించారు. ఆ సందర్భంగా ఆయన మరోసారి కన్నీళ్లు పెట్టుకున్నారు. జనార్దన్రెడ్డి ఆయనను తన కారులో తీసుకుని వెళ్లిపోయారు. కాసేపటికే రాంప్రసాద్రెడ్డిని సీఎం మళ్లీ సచివాలయానికి పిలిపించి మాట్లాడారు. ఆ సమావేశంలో మంత్రులు అచ్చెన్నాయుడు, అనగాని సత్యప్రసాద్ పాల్గొన్నారు.
మండిపల్లి రాజకీయ భవితపై సీఎం భరోసా
రాయచోటిని అన్నివిధాలా అగ్రగామిగా నిలిపేందుకు ప్రభుత్వం పూర్తిస్థాయిలో సహకారం అందిస్తుందని సీఎం హామీ ఇచ్చారు. అక్కడ వైద్య కళాశాల, యూనివర్సిటీ పీజీ సెంటర్ ఏర్పాటు చేస్తామని సీఎం తెలిపారు. రాయచోటి అభివృద్ధికి ఏం కావాలో చెప్పాలని మంత్రిని అడిగారు. ‘దీన్ని ఛాలెంజ్గా తీసుకుని పనిచేయండి. మీ రాజకీయ భవిష్యత్తుకు నాదీ భరోసా. మరో 20 ఏళ్లు రాజకీయాల్లో ఉంటారు’ అని ఆయనకు తెలిపారు. రాయచోటితో తనకున్న అనుబంధాన్ని సీఎం గుర్తు చేశారు. ‘గతంలో రూపొందించిన ప్రణాళికల ప్రకారమే రాయచోటిలో అన్ని మౌలిక సదుపాయాలు, పరిపాలన వసతులు కల్పిద్దాం’ అని పేర్కొన్నారు. ఆదివారం రాత్రి కూడా మంత్రి రాంప్రసాద్రెడ్డితో సీఎం 40 నిమిషాలు భేటీ అయ్యారు. మదనపల్లెను జిల్లా కేంద్రంగా ఎందుకు చేయాల్సి వచ్చిందో వివరించారు. విదేశీ పర్యటనలో ఉన్న మంత్రి లోకేశ్ కూడా మంత్రితో ఫోన్లో మాట్లాడారు.
